dana tyler has the night off. the fire has been burning for two hours now at the historic building on nielsen street. cbs 2's joe biermann is in chopper 2 over the scene. >> reporter: hey, guys. tough way for the sabbath to start here in new brunswick. this is 145 nielsen street. synagogue. down. the damage to the synagogue has been done. looking down through the roof the only thing remaining is the shell of the building. fire started on the third floor in the rear when we first got here. heavy flames, flames spread to the front door of the synagogue. fire department says it is a three-alarm fire. no injuries to report. lots of folks having evacuated from the surrounding areas
