i'm jocelyn moran, nbc bay area news. >>> hillsides collapsing too. this is new video of a landslide. the extent of the damage unknown. the earthquake knocked out power to 78,000 households and was followed by a series of aftershocks. >>> the home the earthquake hit, jeff ranieri dug into the details. let's talk about the magnitude of the depth, we are talking about so much damage. and then we are getting aftershocks. >> and they are pretty powerful when you take a look at what is happening. 7.4 as we mentioned the overall epicenter of this earthquake. and where this happened. this is considered a shallow earthquake. 4:58 tonight. look at the realtime map showing the cluster of aftershocks. you have taipei to the north. this is to the south, hualien. 22 aftershocks. 4.7 or higher. the largest coming in at 6.4. a lot of these coastal cities here with the violent shaking in 27.4 in the strong aftershocks. the ground is just moving and jarring so much. it is turning some of the ground into liquid. that is why we are seeing some of these buildings crumble
