this is close to a 10% funding cut within epa to the level. what we attempted to do within this budget is to prioritize funding for those programs that actions to improve the quality of the environment across the country. and i think we tried to ensure that the mission moved forward in a way thatdoes again, allow for that protection of the environment but recognizing that there are many areas within the epa budget that we could look to to reduce. one of the things that was pretty important to me was ongog funding for contaminated lands. we have significant issues in the state of alaska when under the ala native claims settlement act, native people were promised lands and those lands -- many of those lands that were conveyed to them were conveyed as contaminated properties. so we have critical funding to help clean up contaminated lands. we also address the issues of air quality. and one of my interior communities, fairbanks, they have struggled to meet the pm 2.5 requirements and providing for these types of issues for our communities as they
