businesses and families came together for fighting for a better oakland. one woman, in fact, came straight to the rally, cleaning up her clothing store that had been broken into this morning. da lin's got her story and more on the solidarity rally. >> reporter: the rally comes at a pivotal time for business owner especially after burglarizing her store on sunday morning. she thought about closing the store back in january. >> it doesn't make you feel ambitious about staying. >> reporter: surveillance footage shows around 5:30 a.m. someone used a hammer to smash the glass door and then kicked it open. >> and to be violated this way feels terrible. >> this is no respect. you take our suitcases and our stuff and then they took a whole rack. like i don't know. they rolled that whole rack out. >> reporter: she lost roughly $20,000 in merchandise alone. the broadway store downtown oakland is the flagship store with a second store in the rock ridge district. she says both have seen huge declines in traffic because people are afraid to visit oakland. >> we have bu
