this is in west berkeley. now. the video posted on social media on friday shows this parking lot and you can see car after car with windows smashed. the police officers association says all of the break ins are tied to the same overnight crew. we don't know yet why these cars were targeted and what was taken, if anything, or who police are looking for. but neighbors that i spoke to say that this happens often. >> i was just walking the dogs and came by and saw that there was glass everywhere all over the place. and you know, all the windows smashed in the cars. >> now, this is the second incident, like this. just this week, on wednesday, nearly two dozen cars parked at the north berkeley bart station were broken into and police say at least 23 cars there had their windows smashed and items taken. and that was pretty surprising for people who use that bart station daily. so far, no arrests for that incident either. but berkeley police says these car break ins are a recurring issue. they posted some tips on facebook
