good morning welcome to "squawk box" here on cnbc i'm rebecca quick along with joe kernen and andrew ross sorkin. record highs for the dow and s&p and nasdaq equity you futures here red arrows nasdaq looks like it will open down 11 points s&p down 8.5%. this comes after very strong weeks. new highs set again on friday. the dow now has been up four weeks in a row look at what is happening with the treasury market. at least at this point, the 10-year is at 1.561% yields have come under pressure. this is a big week we are warning for earnings let's check out the "squawk stack" this morning. one name in the "stack" is coca coca-cola. earnings due out at 7:00 a.m the third of the dow is expected to report this week. coca-cola indicated down by 0.2% the other issues we are watching, dow future and nasdaq and the 10-year and bitcoin which is rebounding after the big moves. we'll talk more about that in a moment >> okay. >>> we have a milestone taking place. great news in the fight of covid. half of all adults in america have received at least one dose of the covid vaccine 32% of adults are fully

good morning welcome to "squawk box" here on cnbc i'm becky quick along with joe kernen and andrew ross sorkin. you will see equity futures with a pull back. dow futures are down 135 points. that's about how much the dow dropped yesterday. it was down 124 points only a decline of .4%. s&p was down, too. this is only the second time that the s&p hasn't set a new high in the last 13 trading sessions again, a rare pull back. the futures there indicated down 15 points. the nasdaq was the big loser down 1%. this morning, it is indicated down another 48 points as joe mentioned, treasury yields 10-year note 1.67%. if you refinanced your mortgage yesterday, you got in just in time we should point out we have three big dow components reporting today. the first is johnson & johnson which is out at 6:45 a.m. eastern to time. 45 minutes from now. travelers in p&g will be reporting which comes out at 7:00 eastern time. we are paying attention to ibm it came out with better than expected results for the quarter with earnings per share and revenue. that up 3% united airlines also going to be reporting

welcome to "squawk box" here on cnbc i'm becky quick along with joe kernen and andrew ross sorkin. and u.s. equity futures this morning are relatively flat just like they were yesterday in fact, yesterday, the s&p settled less than a point below that record high that it hit on monday it's still sitting right around there now. it's indicated up about three points the dow yesterday was flat, too, up three points indicated down by 40. and the nasdaq indicated down by about 20 tonight after it closed by 0.3% yesterday. everybody is waiting to see what the fed does today, including the treasury market. if you want to take a look right now where the ten-year is yielding you'll see at this point at least it looks like it's yielding 1.64% at the high end of that very tight range it's been trading in recently as low as 1.55% up to 1.645% right now. again, the bond market is one place where you're watching to see what happens with the fed later today. it's not the ten-year, joe, on the "squawk stack" which is where we're looking at it right now. but let's take a look at the "squawk stack" be

good morning welcome to "squawk box" here on cnbc i'm becky quick along with joe kernen and andrew ross sorkin. interesting day yesterday. you saw yesterday a mixed market this morning, dow futures down 25 and s&p down a point. nasdaq up 1.3. really interesting day yesterday. the dow was down a little bit. i should say the s&p set another new record that may be 24 records we have seen this year the nasdaq was up 0.9% it set a record high that is the first time it's happened since february 12th for the nasdaq the dow was down this is something that is interesting to check out let's look at the "squawk stack" this morning the story yesterday was inflation. it was the consumers product companies that dragged down dow. p&g and coke and walmart lower p&g and coke will deal with raising prices if you look at the "stack" corn futures hit the highest level in seven years. we have been talking about it for a while. 10-year is yielding 1.79%. guys, this is interesting. we have a fed meeting today to determine what will happen in the market the question is how much they focus on inflation watching
