now call speedway meadow hellman hollow and middle drive east, nancy pelosi drive and sharon meadow robin william meadow. we added a musical evening light show to the conservancy of flowers, piano to botanical barden. tea house. outside land music festival to polo fields and a portion of this beautiful space that used to be call jfk is now a car free prom naund for hundreds of thousands walk, run, roll, ride, sun-bathe and enjoy art music and food. while visitors once traversed the park on horse and buggy, and now travel on scooters, segues, bicycles. the park became a safe refuge during the covid pandemic. we celebrated a bunch of anversity. the redwood grove, spreckels lake. holiday tree lighting. the 50th anniversary of summer of live and in 2020 celebrated in the rain the parks own 150th anniversary. we got a little shorted because of the pandemic, so 154 is the new 150, which is why we are making such a to do out of today. [applause] >> hello every one, i want to thank mayor breed for her leadership today can all of our other elected official sxz city leaders who have worked so hard to transform our city in the last few years. i want to start a quick story why i'm standing here today. i had a baby early in the covid pandemic with a preschooler at school, we had nowhere to go, no school, no playgrounds, no library, no support from any community. the only spaces available to our family where i can push a stroller and my older kid can run tree why jfk, slow streets all of which have been closed for social distancing. as a parent raising kids in san francisco, i don't worry about the threat to my kids from guns or crime, my greatest fear is that my family will be hit on by a car on the dangerous roads near by home. the experience of being in a space like jfk where cars are not an ever present threat changed the way about how i raise kids in the city t gave my family a place to be safe and the kids to be kid

my name is robin leavitt. i live in hayes valley in district five, and i'm very supportive of this, the speed cameras i the sfpd has given up on, on enforcing traffic regulations, and we need to do something. it's just the wild west out there just riding my bike over here. earlier today, i almost got hit by a driver speeding down, o'farrell at hyde, trying to make the light. so we actually, i'd like to see speed cameras at every traffic signal in the city, but since we're since we only have 33 of them, i'm all for it. and i think i hope that the program expands, i, i just want to i'm a little concerned because, like i said, i live in district five. i see only two speed cameras proposed for district five, but i know living in hayes valley, we are at the center of the apex of a lot of major arterials. so we have a lot of speeding problems in that neighborhood, particularly on octavia boulevard and the side streets. there gough, franklin, oak street, particularly west, excuse me, east of octavia, if you're famili
