the bottom of the page you can see the california demographics, and the california opportunity zone demographics. in almost every category, there is a very clear message being sent that these are people who need help, you need investment and in community development. eighty-eight% are minorities in the communities. thirty-four% live at the poverty right mac versus 16% in the country. and so on. it is very clear that these opportunity zones need investment. next page covers some of the very key criteria numbers. for an opportunity zone to exist , you have to have 90% of your assets invested into the opportunity zone, and there are tests every six months to make sure that that is happening. one concern for developers early on is that if a development project takes 30 months to complete, how can i pass this test and what i be penalized because the treasury issue guidance said you have 30 months to develop the property before you fail any of these tests. across the country, there are 2 million businesses operating in opportunity zones. 31 million people are living in the zones and so it's about 10%

essentially the trade association for area agencies on aging in california. what that means is that the organization that helps support organizations like ours with respect to how we work with california department of aging. so they do a lot of advocacy for the department of aging with us and then a lot of legislative work at the state level. so, you know, obviously trying to get more funding for the services that we provide through the area agency on aging, which includes home delivered meals, congregant meals, transportation, community services, those kind of services that you hear us talking about when we come forward with contracts. one of the things that's exciting, i think, is that c4a has finally hired a lobbying firm. and that's something we haven't had in the past, so it's something that the board approved last week, we'll have a contract for a lobbyist, which is really important, for any of the associations, if they're really going to play at the level that we need. and also, they hired me as the new -- i should not say hired. elected me as the new

it is at california avenue and avenue d. the one we were looking at that leads into the east side comments. most of the other intersections are in stock -- stop controlled with stop signs. then again there are those that aren't. we essentially, in most cases have traffic tables, and in many instances, we have special paving in those intersections. and then i think we looked at this one before, but as jeff was mentioning, especially for a signalized intersection, we looked really closely at the different phasing for that. looking at separate phases from pedestrians, and vehicles, it is something we will be working closely with the m.t.a. to determine in both the eastbound and the westbound conditions, especially for the bikes. we have many accessible parking spaces. and then 25 on street loading zones which is something that has not been a typical san francisco city standard. transportation modes have been changing, so we work closely with the d.p.w. director to incorporate these. and lastly, within the parks and open spaces,

most of you are familiar with related california. one of the latest supportable housing developments in california. 14,000 units over the last 30 years. we have 1500 affordable housing units under development. that is 588 in mission bay. west side court and the fillmore, the sunny dale public housing and goodwill site working for office space for the city of san francisco on the corner of mission and vanness. the neighborhood development is the nonprofit partner as well. don is out of the city today. he wasn't able to attend. affordable housing is important. we formed this partnership. in addition to being a nonprofit developer they are providing social services for the 150 families occupying the transbay blockade. as shane mentioned the project consists of 548 residents, 150 are affordable housing. right now we are scheduled to complete construction ahead of our dda schedule to provide much needed housing to the city of san francisco, tax revenue and sales tax revenue to finance the debt obligations of the transit center. we expect
