and temperatures in the north bay not quite as warm as other inland parts of the bay area but still above average reaching into the low to mid-70s. tomorrow's not the warmest day we are going to experience in this little stretch of above average temperatures, that is going to happen wednesday and thursday. san jose topping out around or above 80 degrees far couple days. temperatures still running above normal through the weekend and dry weather is going to prevail over the weekend. there have been 15 weekends so far in 2024. i think maybe four of them have been dry. we'll add a fifth one of the list this weekend. back to near normal temperatures as we head into the middle of next week. let's take a look at the seven-day forecast. we will start with inland temperatures across the bay area, which are going to be warmest for the longest. even the ones we drop off a little bit friday, saturday, and sunday still in the middle portion of the 70s into the beginning of next week. temperatures around the bay aren't going to get quite as warm, and the warm spell isn't going to last quite as long. n

east bay like out by ultimate past. maybe you might pick up on some of those isolated thunderstorms there and that would be a factor really for the commute because it's about that time. through the late afternoon and early evening where we could see some of the showers over there so that covers friday. by saturday, there's much less wind. more blue sky. we start warming up a bit. and my sunday was turning the wind off. and we really start warming up from there. so by the time we get into the middle of next week, we got daytime highs that are approaching the 80 degree mark plenty of sunshine and daytime highs that will warm up to near 80. let's take a look at how this will play out for our micro climates within the immediate bay and you can see we maybe don't warm up to 80. but you're going to be up into the low 70s with plenty of sunshine. by the time we get to the middle part of next week, and you've got a nice weekend. it's just still going to be a little breezy leftover on saturday with daytime highs a few degrees wa

and in the north bay but where they have cleared out as well into the east bay and the seneca valley. you can see a similar perspective here on the satellite loop over the past few hours. parts of the bay area did see sunshine emerging but over the bay and along the coast , the cloud cover was remarkably persistent. here is a look at the time lapse this afternoon, from our huckins hotel looking for the east, you can see where the cloud cover is rolling through. persistent onshore breeze, occasional little peaks of blue sky, but that is about the extent of what we saw throughout the day. had a big impact on our temperatures, 15 to 20 degrees cooler for highs today across most of the bay area compared with where we were yesterday. the biggest change was for the inland , we had some highs in the low 80s yesterday. no such luck today. 57 in fremont was the warm spot on the map. 66 degrees in san jose, 65 in santa rosa and in concord. 60 in sentences and 59 in half moon bay are pretty close to yesterday's high temperatures as the marine air is making its way in already yesterday afternoon

the live look at bay area bridges with the bay bridge first. and you can see it's nice ride overall we're not seeing any major issues or problems for anyone heading into san francisco right now. metering lights are off. and easy smooth commute heading over into the city. it's kind of the case for most of the bay area freeways thankfully. because yesterday was a very, very tough commute. but #:18 in the morning. not loot of cars out there. not a lot of volume. that makes it easier traveling through 880 or parts of some of the bridges. as well as that ride along the peninsula for 101. now if you are making that ride across the golden gate bridge, out of marin county, all lanes are open and all clear, no caltrans to slow you down on the north end sometimes we'll see that in the morning as they do road work along 101. but so far things are pretty quiet and smooth there. and live look at 880 here, yesterday this was all backed up. today all open and all clear and no delays. if you are near the coliseum this morning, traffic is moving along very well

half moon bay getting up to the mid-60s. just above 70 in san francisco, and temperatures in the north bay mostly falling just short of 80 degrees. i think santa rosa does touch 80 by tomorrow afternoon. everybody's temperatures are going to be well above normal, and similar readings for most of the bay area as we head into thursday as well. tomorrow the a's wrap up their three-game series against the saint louis cardinals. an afternoon game. looks like fantastic conditions. it says mostly cloudy, but that's that veil of cloud cover filtering the sunshine, not blocking entirely. nice weather if you're heading out for the afternoon game there as well. and the temperatures are going to stay warm as we head into the extended forecast, especially inland. the temperatures drop off a little bit by friday, saturday, and sunday but still running in the mid to upper 70s. we don't make it down to normal temperatures inland until tuesday of next week. it happens a little bit faster around the bay where temperatures are going to retreat
