7:25 am
ios9 comes out to get that extra three hours but if you have iphone six the quality is reduced so much that it basically like using an iphone five. your phones performance is reduced by 40 percent. you have to way the cost. do you need your battery to go further by using this new feature which is low power mode or do you just say i want my screen to look just as bright, i want my e-mails to down load, et cetera. if you have i phone six and it will run like the five, not everyone is, fancy enough to have the six. i have the five. does that mean it will bring me back down to the four. >> it might, actually, yeah, yeah. >> great. >> when does it come out. >> soon, they don't have a release date just yet but i can see it at least. >> well, we have options. i would rather my phone work slowly then to have it be dead. >> can you help my samsung, is there anything you got for me.

7:32 am
the scale at ten, can't go higher. we will drop a few numbers here each day, so get ready for these storms. 66 degrees today, climbing on the way to the 70's by noon, 80's this afternoon, many suburbs just a few degrees cooler. sixty-three in millville. right along the coast, mid to upper 60's. is there 82, comfortable, low humidity that changes tomorrow. those numbers in the seven day forecast, what we have coming upright now is bob. >> hey dave 7:32. last look at this accident before we wrap up the chopper at 37 northbound at heyes mill road, in winslow township, new jersey. medical helicopter took off from the scene taking some injured to the hospital. look at the car in the middle there. it is crunched up like a tin can. we have the whole front engine of that big suv in the back seat there.
7:33 am
lets go to the maps. this is impacting traffic north bound lanes of route 73, at heyes road which is, just south of route 30, in winslow township, new jersey. here's a live look at i-95 in the left there what is left over from an accident southbound real heavy from state road, all the way down into cottman avenue with an earlier crash. schuylkill expressway running slow, in and out of the city with all of the welcome america events and folks in and out of town this week expect a lot of unusual traffic delays and traffic volume especially into and out of the city, throughout the next couple of days and the traffic lights are still not working properly at seventh and eighth and vine. police are on the scene waving folks through but that is causing big delays, into philadelphia. that is your first traffic light at philadelphia at eighth and vine.
7:34 am
with no traffic lights it is a free information all there, coming into downtown. this all started a saturday night when we had a transformer fire in chinatown. the transformer powered those traffic lights, and at the moment race street is still blocked from seventh own to tenth and we will of breakfast coming up at 9:00 o'clock we will hit road and go to pete's clown house in frankford avenue as we do every monday morning taking a look at another hot spot in the neighborhood come on by we will see through at 9:00 a.m. chris and alex, back to you. thousands are are prepared to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the lgbt civil rights movement this comes on the heels of the five-four ruling by supreme court that same sex couples have right to marry anywhere in the you had. >> president obama calls this a big step in the march toward quality, supreme court chief justice john roberts wrote that this court is not a legislature. whether same sex marriage is a good idea should be of no
7:35 am
concern to us. >> again, the ruling and this weeks event is malcolm from the equality forum and chair of the anniversary celebration. good morning to you. >> good in morning. >> and what a celebration it will be. to have the supreme court ruling, and to have this 50th april versery all coinciding. >> it is remarkable, remarkable timing and to think that 50 years ago for the very first time, gay activist, demonstrated for equality here in philadelphia. so, not only did this city birth the nation, it also helped to birth the lgbt civil rights movement. >> and to have this picture here. i read in 1965, 40 activist, and at that time, it was considered the largest demonstration in the you had. >> it was largest demonstration for gay equality in the history of the world. people showed up here. it built on itself. it led to stone wall and new york pride parade and then spread around the country and world.
7:36 am
>> now we're expecting thousands is yes. >> when you heard the decision from the supreme court on friday, your gut reaction. >> i was expecting it. i think in light of their prior decisions, you know, i anticipated at least five-four. i was hoping it might be six-three but a victory is a victory and, you know, it actually fulfills fundamental promise, life, liberty, pursuit, happiness and equality. >> i was in san francisco when the mayor at the time gaff up newsome told the state attorney issue same sex marriage licenses and people flooded to the city of san francisco at the time for those and then, of course, a lot of those were put on hold. it was a battle with the states. this has change so quickly. if you look back to just 2011, tied have turned to this .4 years later. >> i think most important thing is the tied have have turned in terms of the public, so, you know, over 60 percent
7:37 am
of american population supports same sex marriage and particularly younger americans. >> what about what chief justice roberts say this should not have been a political decision by the high court. >> our constitution protects fundamental liberties, in other word, you cannot have majority tyranny, against minority, constitutional rights. by the way, great value of a constitution is to protect individual liberty and that is exactly what the majority decided. >> talk about then really quickly this week. it is a four day celebration. >> so, with the highlight being, july 4th in front of the independent hall, wand a sykes is the master of ceremonies, jim oberfell, the plaintiff in the supreme court case will be there, judy and dennis shepherd, matthew shepherd's parents will be there, eddie windsor will be there, and fabulous entertainers, it is really going to be a memorable one
7:38 am
hour starting at 2:15 in front of the independent hall. >> on july 4th. >> on july 4th but there are other programs, from the second through the fifth and people can find out about them at lgbt 50th.org and, you know, just in case there is some people who will not go to chris's for that wonderful july 4th party. >> that is true. >> we have another place to go. >> malcolm, thank you. i have seen wand a sykes mc something, she's hilarious. you will have a lot of fun. >> thank you. >> congratulations. >> thanks. which neighborhood in our area is the best, the best of the best. this will start some argument. let the fighting begin. we will give you a chance to decide this morning we will fill out the ultimate philly neighborhood bracket, we will explain when we come back.
