To add a bit more: Full-text search in the bookreader is now backed by a real search engine (we use solr). Previously, we were using a regex to search through a xml file, which had a lot of problems.

With the new search, you can now search for a phrase (in quotes). Phrase searching works across page boundaries. Hyphenated words now show up in search results.

Also, you can now do full-text search across 2+ million books at once! Give it a shot: http://openlibrary.org/search/inside

full text search inside borrowed books almost never works, especially if the book page has at least a few hundred pages. it just loads infinitely. would be very useful if it worked properly on borrowed books.

Until this afternoon (CET) it always worked properly. But since two hours now it hass stopped working all of a sudden.
