Excellent photo. You could connect to SFLan from your roof, as soon as we get another node in the Marina running. We have the location, but no financing yet. Your location would definitely help, too. I will send you an e-mail. With regard to your question about routing: We power the nodes via Power-over-Ethernet and come into house with an ethernet cable. It's up to you how you want to connect that to your home network: from not connected at all, over having some of your machines connected to SFLan, to all of them on SFLan.

Thanks for your reply, Ralf. I'm replying to your email right now-- I'm excited to get going on this. I inquired on behalf of my employer a little while ago but it didn't go anywhere, so it'll be gratifying to contribute.

Okay, I'm pretty sure I don't have LOS to much of anything (I can sometimes see San Bruno Mountain if I look hard enough), but I was wondering if there are any plans to get this down the Peninsula a ways (at least as far as Foster City, where I will be most pleased to be a node!)...
