FYI, I have an older HP desktop running Windows 10 64-bit, and I use IDM (Internet Download Manager 6.42) for my downloads as I have terrible internet service via Charter.
So, given that I've not been surfing too many websites, these are the possible sources for FileZilla being placed on my PC multiple times over the past several days:
---Archive.org
---The IA downloads themselves (some zipped) (no porn)
---Amazon
---eBay
---Google (looking up FileZilla)
---Charter’s email webpage (Spectrum.net)
Anyone else having this issue? Your input here would be appreciated as I'm not IT-savvy. I know that FileZilla isn't supposed to be harmful, but Microsoft seems to think it is, so I'm playing it safe. Thanks for your help.
PS, BTW, my PC crashed this morning, and it took more than a couple of hours for it to repair itself before it would finally boot up. Coincidence? Paranoia? I just don't know.

RED FLAG!
Follow-up -- received this message from Internet Download Manager (IDM):
"Hello,
No, we do not have any relation to this application and IDM does not install it.
Best regards,
Dave Saeger
IDM Support"
