Sorry. Take pleasure in knowing it is not because you are not one of the cool kids. This is nerd stuff. Yes, I use a slide rule.
Here is a quick nerdy explanation. If you want numbers you'll have to bring papers as I'm a pipe guy.
One of the old Grateful Dead postings has been hijacked by Arty Fishal and due to the "tail eating the dog" nature of AI programing, the more replys to a post, the more important to Arty that posting is. So machines are answering each others replys and pushing the posting numbers to grate heights. The post thread has become the largest on the GD forum.
A side effect is that those reply postings are mostly spam ads or Arty tests which insert keywords and have no actual connection to anything GD. As Arty chases himself around, the subjects get wilder and wilder. (Sort of like that gathering in late 69 where we all became gnomes and chased ourselves through the woods until sun-up. I do not think our native tongue was used at all that night. I think that was where I got this old name. Ahh, to be among tribesmen. Well, now back to our show.)
My protection is that Art's post responses will someday become larger than the server space at the forum but long before that the posting will be looked on as the definitive GD information source due to its size and popularity.

Please do not post on the now hijacked one. It would muddy the waters. And we all know what chords he used.
As I posted on an earlier thread, there is an anti-Arty technique, but to repeat it would make it less useful. Remember, only you can pre-vent, Forest, phires.

If I have not typed it recently, DD, thanks for your "year-date-band" postings. I enjoy the memories and the music those posting bring.
And another Artie (fobikob) has already started on this thread in a reply above and started another new world for Artie. At some future point there will be little of the Internet which is not just a figment of some programs phrase dictionary.
More and more I treasure my book and tape library. It is only a short time before Arty starts improving the on-line digitized forms and removes the originals. The discussion here of Canon Balls will be confusing when a future historian listens to the on-line Arty version and there are completely new lyrics.
