It seems like the front end relies on something to show the page (not quite sure). I also tried to archive the materials page, but it seems not possible, and got that exact same error.

What I'd suggest is to export all the materials to a ZIP archive and upload them to the library. The web page is really unnecessary if archival isn't possible for some reason.

If we zip and upload, is there a way to link that to the original webpage so people find it if they search?

Yes. When you upload to the library, you can always add comments where you can mention the original website.

Example section: https://imgbox.com/Topknndp

You can write, something like: "These PDFs were been taken from " with some more additional comments.
