ya, sflan39 sits on my roof, and it is totally dependent on sflan51...

I experienced a power outage yesterday morning ~9:00am but this latest 18 hr outtage seems to be due to sflan51's upstream failure...

fwiw: sflan11 isn't doing to hot today either

Say, it is possible to get an IP from you that doesn't expire? When my router connects to your NODE, it only lasts 6 hours, or does it even matter?

Unfortuantly, I have no authority over the node or its DHCP policy. AFAIK Ralph does the network administration for all the SFLAN.

Sorry, I can't help you with your DHCP leases...

I think that if you bought an official "node" he'd probably assign you a static IP...

FWIW: Expiring DHCP leases shouldn't matter, they should be renewed to the same address if you are still on the network...
