If you are still experiencing this, can you please list a couple of links to the shows?

It's possible that there is other internet weather causing slowness between the Archive and your ISP/your section of the country, but that should be transient.

Hopefully things are running fine again, but please let us know specific shows so we can narrow it down a bit.

Thanks for the help. Yes, I am still experiencing difficulties. Even just navigating the site, it's soooo slow. I've been downloading for weeks with never a problem. Now when I connect I'm usually downloading at about 7 Kb/s (I have DSL) and then eventually I get server timeout.
Here are two shows I was trying to download:

Server: audio27.archive.org
Directory: /1/audio/gd87-05-10.sbd.schneiderman.2256.sbeok.shnf

and
Server: audio22.archive.org
Directory: /2/audio/gd78-11-24.sbd.prefm.13948.sbefail.shnf
