however, as both OS are quite old now 2016 era, *and* the fact that they are the oldest tech stack we are trying to support with JS (we dropped MS IE support over a year ago), they are *much more* prone to have periodic issues now.
We are doing what we can -- but *unfortunately* my team (front end team) is considering dropping them at some point in the future.
(In the weeds, they have only partial (or none) support for ES6 (JS release from 2015). That means we have to "compile" our JS down to ES5 -- which is from 2009.
