ok, actually i see the issue now...

some of our system has been updating, so am going to now need to "auto-create" a _files.xml for each item being FTP uploaded.

that will, in turn, kick off a derive task after that.

so HEADS UP! :)

if the [format] tags that get auto-picked aren't desired, you can always change them in the /editxml/ form.

i know i seem a bit terse / crabby (and i'm all that and 2 bags of cheese ;-) (hey, i been here since day 1, spanning 24 years... :) )

but I _am_ the biggest (and currently only) advocate for "please let's just leave FTP - it's not harming nobody - alone for the very small number of users continuing to rely on it"

i'll push out a hotfix to the code and server and your 114GB of items in the FTP upload should be good to go.

(I bet we both had to turn off the certs check in our FTP clients (i was using `lftp`) but the fact that you got 100GB+ in last 24h up seems like ly :) )

Hi, after clicking submit in the metadata editor (editxml.php) got this error.

what is the url of the item?
once an item is created you would not have privs to change the mediatype.

minor final fixes are in and testing. (thanks to team member Jim for this!)
we should be doing final testing and push it live guessing in ~1-3 hours
