Interesting. Some days ago I was thinking about this issue, how to link items at Internet Archive to items in Wikidata.

I hope this becomes possible soon.

Regards from a wiki user.

I second this idea. I think it would be really cool if, for instance, you could enter the Wikidata ID of a book into a (or somesuch) metadata field and then have a link to the item in Wikidata (like with Open Library or Worldcat).

Perhaps there could also be an auto-generated link at the bottom of the page like "See the Wikipedia article at: _URL_" for items that have an associated Wikipedia article.

I was just thinking: couldn't this be done using the external-identifier tag (if it's not already possible)?

Just learned about this neat tag today.

Well, what do you know, you can do that!

tag: external-identifier
structure: urn:wikipedia:(identifier)

Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any way to link to Wikidata. I'm sure this could be easily added, though.
