i'm vai sikahema. this fire here started at 6:15 this morning in kensington. this is helen street. it's the 24th fatal fire in philadelphia so far this year which equals last year's mark and there's three more months to go. jesse gary is live in kensington. jesse, crews have been brought in on this investigation. tell us why. >> reporter: vai, there's a possibility of an illegal hookup. let me move out of the way and you can see what's going on. they're bringing out debris while the fire marshals go inside to try to determine the cause. the fire commissioner said the electric service to the burned property had been shut you have at least twice before. there's a possibility the power lines were hooked up illegally. let's look at the first video. i just talked to one of the distraught relatives, a grandfather of the teen who loves his life. they say there was no electric service inside the home, that the victim and his mother share. his mother is currently in the hospital in an unrelated matter. they say they were both living by candlelight, and that may be the cause of the fire. now
