ktvu mark tamayo tracking the current conditions. mark, when should we expect that rain to start falling? >> well, the north bay, we're thinking around six in the morning or so, but then throughout the morning hours, that rain band will gradually move to the south. this was the scene today, though it has been quite the stretch of sunny and relatively warm days, so it's going to be an abrupt change. as we mentioned, as we take this into your saturday forecast, but no longer in the 60s, 70s and the 80s, we'll barely make it up into the lower 60s for tomorrow afternoon. so there's the system on the satellite, not just talking about a few sprinkles. we could have a few heavy downpours out there. rainfall expectation is about a half an inch to possibly an inch. winds ramping up around 25 to 35 miles an hour. and we have a winter storm warning in the middle of spring for the sierra. they are going to pick up significant snowfall, possibly over a foot for the higher peaks of the sierra. so here is the satellite . and the radar. as you can s
