we're seeing in from the north bay, san pablo bay, even down towards san jose. further inland areas. you are starting off bright, but most of us can they get that blanket overhead as we work our way into the afternoon today, we will see nice sunshine. in fact, by late morning, most of us already tapping into it. coastal areas hugged by that fog for a lot of the day. your typical for a lot of spots as we move into tonight, we will start to see fog making its return streaming through the san bruno gap over san francisco, the golden gate bridge and making its way back into the bay. setting us up for yet another foggy start tomorrow. as for today's daytime highs, we are going to be looking at a comfortable one. definitely brisket the coast. so bring the jackets out there. as i mentioned, hugged by fog at the coast while 60's to 70's along the bay shore today. and then 70's to 80's for inland areas. san jose, 80 degrees. same for you in livermore. well, hayward, los 70's for you. some 60's from oakland up to richmond, our warmest spot today, vacaville for this to him

napa airport, west southwest 17 coming in off san pablo bay. that usually is a pretty good indicator. 40s, 50s on the temps, couple of 60s brentwood, but vacaville down to 57. they've lost that north wind as well. on the coast socked in san mateo coast down to santa cruz, monterey. lots of low clouds and fog. so 50s there. 45 woodside, upper 40s, atherton, menlo park, stanford, los altos close and san carlos at 51 mid 30s truckee, south lake tahoe, mount shasta 54 mammoths at 31 degrees. system coming down from the north is all it takes. that's opening the door to a little bit more of a breeze and also a slightly cooler pattern. but that system will settle in, and actually the western edge of it will retrograde back. and that's going to continue to usher in some cooler weather. cooling will continue probably all the way into friday or saturday. if you're going to the mountains, keep an eye on things. could get some activity popping up here. it's kind of hit and miss, but you know, it looks like again, favoring the carson pass area around kirkwo
