so, i have experienced a number of different cultures within the san francisco bay area. i currently reside in the mission district and i do have a dog and a cat. i'm also one of the founders of a new organization called ride a ranch rescue and it's a not for profit organization that's being set up to care for special needs animals. and at present it's new and it's a virtual organization where we're just now trying to raise funds and draw attention to special cases. our goal is to have a northern california location in a few years, provide a safe haven forespecial needs animal. as a part of the ranch we hope to also establish a veterinary internship program where veterinary students can care for the incoming animal. there's longer term plans for that, kind of fun, bed and breakfast, where you could adopt the animal for a night. so, anyways, i'm also active -- an active volunteer in a number of animal organizations, one being the underground kitty railway which is a really cool program where cats can be taken from kill shelters anywhere in the state and then they are basic

anyone traveling in the san francisco bay again with this wind you can see what it is doing to the camera. winds 15 to 30 will likely see through tomorrow winds that could top 40 miles an hour across the bridges and the hill tops. anyone commuting will want to take it slow. let take you to the source of the wind. it's a area of low pressure producing that unusual sierra snow that will stay with us through the overnight hours with a chance of california showers overnight. and this area of high pressure builds in from the south. it will keep mild weather in place and help to keep the wind in the forecast throughout tuesday as well. here's what you can expect overall when it comes to the wind. the worse will be at the coast. at the higher elevations above 1,000 feet winds that could top 45 miles an hour making it dangerous on the area highways. we look for calmer conditions on wednesday and thursday. one more day of the wind and it star starts to get better throughout the week. it will be sunny, temperatures up one to two degrees in the south bay. san jose expecting 72 degrees. palo alto, 71
