wealthy class and the initial fighting was done by the local militia which every member had to be so at lexington and concord that's turned out against the british and so everybody was involved in that. once they could create the continental army it was a little different. but the bulk of the soldiers are what we would call working-class people and they are not wealthy people. when the war ended i think the role of the press still keeping people informed in the issues about what kind of government are we going to have, how do we put all that together and there were some arguments over that because some people didn't really see a centralized national government like we ended up with. so that took a while for people to talk through and i think that the newspapers played a role in getting the debate and people thinking about it. the federalist papers are the most important writing about the constitution. they all get published individually that gets people thinking about okay, these issues of what has evolved and so forth. it kept people informed but also kept them engaged and interesting in the war

we are here at lexington reservoir. on our drive here we had a hard time keeping the windshield clear because it was just so muggy this morning, the defrost really wasn't keeping up. the rain has started to roll in so that should help wipe out some of the fog near lexington reservoir. we definitely need any rain we can get. you will rts this time last year the santa clara valley water district was releasing water from our south bay reservoirs. we are not quite sure -- we are not there at this point, but as of february 50% -- we were at 50% of the 20-year average. we asked the santa clara county water district if that was a bleak picture. they said at that point it was not a big thing because much of the early winter rain was saturating the dry ground. since then we have not had the kind of rainy season we saw last year and the kind of rainy season we needed and so none of our south bay reservoirs are even close to half full. take a look, anderson is the largest one, about 26%, coyote reservoir about the same level, lexi
