i'm dionne lim. the fire is bad enough that firefighters are telling neighbors to keep their doors and windows shut. crews are starting to get a handle on this raging inferno in east oakland, though. it all started at about 8:00 tonight at the old economy lumber warehouse near high street and interstate 880 b'rit carter was driving by and captured these scary images. fire fighters have put endless streams of water on the flames. big plumes of smoke could be seen for miles, and the fire department ordered the union pacific railroad tracks next to it closed, impacting capital corridor service. once again, we do want to take another live look at that scene where you can see firefighters are still out there dousing the hot spots. they will be there throughout the night to make sure there are no flare ups. the good news out of all of this, there are so far no reported injuries to firefighters or anyone else. so far. no word yet on how this started, but we will keep you updated as the situation develops. m

i'm dionne lim. well, so much for the unofficial start of summer. this weekend. it felt more like winter today. spencer it was gray and drizzly. we are just hoping for a warm up. >> we are indeed. it's coming our way, diane, but we just have to be a little bit patient. i had my head down there because i was looking at some of today's high temperatures. let me share those with you. the only one that is inaccurate here is due to a false reading. santa cruz did not hit 74 today, but look at these other highs. san francisco only 59, oakland 63, concord 70 degrees. only 66. in livermore. i mean, that's like a winter time high here in the bay area. so let's move along and take a look at current conditions. it is getting pretty breezy again near the coastline. not gusty though as it was earlier today, but that onshore flow will bring us some cooler air overnight. and right now we're looking at temperature readings only in the low 50s. in most locations, so it's still pretty cool not up in that warm range th
