now, i'm sad to leave the congress. i love the congress. and i'm delighted that my lovely wife is running for the congress because she's smarter, decent and certainly much prettier than i am. i am concerned that my sadness is mediated by the poison atmosphere that we see in american politics today. so while i'm troubled in refocusing its efforts on the important matters at hand, i'm comforted to know that they can only improve. so when the dictionary defines the word congress as a coming together, it also defines the very way we can emerge from this current mess. first and foremost it will take a congress willing to put aside petty differences and willingness to live up to the word that compromise is not a dirty word and it is not an evil thing. conciliation is not a bad idea. cooperation is not an unspeakable act. the sooner that the congress realizes this and that american sit zcitizens realize this and begin impressing this view on their candidates, the better the situation is going to get. so then the congress can begin to focus more on
