officials express shock and grief as they confirmed the death of a four year old boy at yardville elementary school a week ago was directly caused by the enterovirus d68. health officials warn the virus so fast moving eli an only boy among triplets showed no symptoms when he was tuck in september 24th. by morning, he was gone. >> there isn't another case at the cdc currently being tested for d68. >> reporter: that child school officials say another four year old boy. we're told he attended a.m. classes in the same classroom where ely was in the p.m. group. that case still being tested. the boy fell sick before eli's death and is recovering. jeffrey plunkett saying he's confident the school has been sanitized and safety precautions are being taken. parents should stay vigilant. >> exposure is a daily possibility for everyone. >> a lot of people kept their children home from school this week. >> reporter: gary, has five year old son with asthma who

air, and there were fear that is that passenger had the deadly virus. it turns out, the man does not have ebola, but it was a scary few hours for everybody on that plane. fox 29's dave kinchen life in the newsroom tonight with reaction from passengers. dave? >> reporter: joyce arc lot of anger from passengers tonight. quarantined for a short time after a sick passenger was feared to have ebola creating confusion and panic. >> this is so diss organize. chaos out there rt report frustration from passengers of united fly 998 from brussels to newark, new jersey, saturday afternoon suddenly told someone on board was ill. >> around three hours before we started to descend, we got a guy in the back sick. we're not going to serve any meals. all this stuff. >> they told us that the person vomited. >> reporter: officials say a man believed to be from liberia was showing flu-like symptoms with many afraid it was ebola. >> you could see he had fever and that he was sick.

>> reporter: passengers say they waited at least 90 minutes with little information and some shot pictures of first responders when they got on the plane to take the sick man and his daughter in for observation. >> they had two people. they came on tyvek students and walked in with mask on we didn't get a mask. >> passengers got these flyers warning of possible ebola exposure. the man and daughter were hospitalized, checked and ultimately cleared of ebola. >> the two individuals will be released with continued monitoring. >> reporter: and university hospital officials in newark say that the man had symptoms consistent with another condition but nothing related to ebola. the daughter did not have any symptoms at all. joyce? >> all right, thank you, dave. the condition of an ebola patient being treated in texas is getting worse. thomas duncan has gone from serious condition to critical. duncan traveled from liberia to dallas last month and then he began showing symptoms.
