7:58 am
people say don't take those low calorie sweeteners you will get cancer. is that not even on the table. >> that goes back to the saccharine issue, which started back in world war one when it was introduced, not an issue. i'm concern about is the fact that this new study really shows the inter play between what you put in your mouth and the bacteria in your intestines. we talk about this before. whether you eat red meat or vegetarian. what they think is going on is artificial sweeteners somehow are metabolized by the bacteria in your intestine and that in many people can increase blood sugar. they have looked at saccharine. they have looked at splenda, and aspartame. >> we want to see these doors opened because it is almost a medical condition the fact that you would stay out there 24 hours to get a phone. >> right. >> do you know people have problems with their thumbs because they are texting, too

8:02 am
here so this is front of the line, this is the end of the line, the the rest of the line is all the way around this building. >> yeah. >> around the building. >> over a thousand people. >> are people still getting in line or have you seen people just come up to the even of the line. >> reporter: you know what, because it is wrapped around to the other side now, i think it is going down the sidewalk. people are still showing up. this is really guys like tailgating for techys like can you believe this. >> i can the not. i don't think would i get in line. if i saw the line there is no way they will have have that many in stock right there. >> reporter: how did you get up here to this part of the line. >> preorder. >> he is smart. >> can you believe the line out here. >> i stayed up until 6:00 a a in m preordering, it is a headache in matter what report. >> why is it so important to you. >> reporter: mike jerrick wants to necessity why is it so important. >> i have had the aim phone for three years, i have been

8:06 am
inside that requires large amounts of water. the reason why, the second alarm was sent out immediately. then because of the size and dimension of the building and how the the fire was spreading to the exposure we were trying to make sure we get it attacked. once the building collapsed it was easier for the the fire to get to the expose ire and because of the paper supply center that was a lot of fuel and creates another challenge. >> luckily fire fighters got things under control in less than two hours but the cause of this fire was still under investigation. >> some guy apparently living in there a homeless person. >> squatter. >> yes, he came out of the building on fire. >> burns to 80 percent of his body. well, pennsylvania state state police busy at this hour. >> they have reopened roads in rural pike county in search for the man charge with killing a trooper. >> they had to put up a temporary shelter. that was put in place for residents who could not get back to their homes, lot of them, as manhunt intensifies

pink. i'm not sure why. officials say the decision was planned before all of these scandals broke. the nfl will promote its campaign but you'll see less of the merchandise on the air and on their bodies. sales of the nfl pink gear has been under scrutiny in the past, over allegations that the nfl donates little of the profits to breast cancer research, with the league says this year it is planning a bigger campaign for gi joe november, they will wear camouflage in november. veterans day is the 11th of november. in light of the domestic violence scandallal, critics say maybe they should wear more purple in honor of domestic violence wearness month because that is the color that the domestic violence awareness campaign uses as their symbol. >> they just can't win here. >> no. >> they wore pink, people say domestic violence going on but then if you use too little why are you scaling down.
8:09 am
>> if they do too much purpose he what about breast cans's awareness people. they can't win. >> they will go with camouflage in november. some child welfare advocates say reggie bush, his comments on discipline could be cause for an investigation into what he is up to. we told you that bush said quote unquote he would harshly discipline his daughter if the situation called for it. >> yes. >> she's one. >> very young. >> he brought this up after a dre an peterson whom he knows very well was charge with child abuse. one child welfare advocate said such comments by reggie bush could be cause for an investigation by authorities. i didn't realize. that but that such investigations are done privately. so they will not learn bit. reggie bush now says he wishes he had kept his comments to himself. >> i bet he does. >> um-hmm. >> that baby is so cute, i just can't imagine. >> one. >> what could a one year-old baby do.

and i started my career rebuilding homes for one family at a time. today, our companies help build something more. for 28 years, belfor has been restoring homes and businesses destroyed by fire, flood, or any disaster. and even though we've grown to over 6,000 dedicated people around the world, for me, it's still about helping one family or business at a time. at belfor, we're restoring more than property.
8:13 am
every morning this week has been pretty similar with a cool start and then we have sunshine at a decent day. clouds here and there like we had yesterday and even a shower but for us this morning we are keeping an eye on the wind. the wind correction has been north or northwest, most of the week, and new we are switching to a northeasterly win. still cool breezes coming in
8:14 am
but a few clouds as well. we have a 10-mile an her breeze in philadelphia right now, 12 miles an hour in dover, eight down in wildwood. keeping an eye on the wind also because of the fire they are fighting in kensington this morning. 10-mile an hour winds, not extreme but not helping. 59 degrees in philadelphia the at the moment. forty-six in the mountains. fifty-three in pottstown. 54 degrees in trenton. fifty-eight down in millville and dover has 58 as well. sunshine is causing temperatures to go up a little witt. still sweater weather. high pressure builds in. reenforcees cool air with us all week. we have had the last week of summer but it is feeling very autumnal all week long. with high pressure moving off shore over the weekend it will let in that cold front and it will also warm us up a bit. so saturday looks good. it looks like it is dry all day. sunday looks dry most of the day until 5:00 in the
8:15 am
afternoon. we can see showers well in advance of the cold front coming through at nine, ten or 11:00 sunday night. now it will be out of here monday morning. when we are to go for fox 29 morning news at 4:00 a.m. it should be dry by then. just a few changes to our forecast, long term. a late shower is possible during the game, and on sunday, but with the eagles, and washington it will be about 80 degrees when the game begins. you won't to have bundle up. it looks like the first day of fall, fall does ant live until 10:30 at night but cooler then sunday and then that beautiful autumn weather continues through the middle of next week. looking good long term in that seven day forecast. lets see how things look at the roads this morning. will we will start off with a live view of an accident on route 22 eastbound at route 23, you can see that it is off to the side, but use caution because police are expected to arrive on the scene shortly. we also have an accident on 76

8:17 am
it is based on a book these people go in the maze. >> i know somebody who has seen it, kevin mccarthey. kevin, what did you think of it. >> good morning mike and alex. i got out of the movie six hours ago. the idea, like i said in the interview, dylan o'brien kiddies raised up into this civilization called the grade, and, they are trying to get out of this mh answerze and it closes and opens every single day. the answer is in one is able to escape since the the first kid arrives. the whole question is why are they there. what is going on. it does have a balance of intense and action. axis fantastic. very edge of the seat at times. i to feel mysterious element in the beginning went over the top. almost like hey we are trying to get to something but we will not give it to you. for my money it was a good matinee. i would not spend full ticket price. the it is being released in imax. do not waste extra $3 in imax.
8:18 am
it doesn't expand to the full screen. i gave it three out of five. good matinee. pg13 but not for young kid. very violent. very similar to hung are games. >> this is where i leave you, i'm exited to see tina fey. a a lot of people are talking about this one. >> based on a popular book. cool thing is author of the the book adopted his own screen play and that is very, very rare because you generally want a book given to hollywood these changes are made. same thing happens with gone girl her book ace adopted by her as well. very cool in that sense. the father pass's way and four siblings are forced to live under the same roof for one week, dying wish of the father. they have s hiv a. the idea is there is drama. tina fey is fantastic. jane fonda delivers her best performance. the she's funny in the movie. running joke about her body which is funny which you cannot mention here. >> yes.
8:19 am
>> it has a surprise ending, right. >> the the ending is surprising. i thought it was a bit out of the character for me, that threw me off but i gave it three and a half out of five. one thing about movies though and i find fascinating. when you have a family film how do you create older family photos, how to they bring older pictures and superimpose it. teen i fey gave me a funny answer about this. check it out. >> thank you for asking a question. they have us all bring photos from home. so then they would take pictures of us around and photo shop us into the pictures. this all happens before you start shooting. i went, there was that stairwell in the house in the movie that has all these photos. i took pictures. there was some i know that is a picture of me and amy poehler, at ucb but now there is a picture of me and jane fond a i took pictures and sent it to poehler and say we have someone new in your place. >> i agree, hundred percent. that interview was fantastic.
8:20 am
they talk about being comedians and in real life people walk up to them they always have to be on. they don't want people to be difficulties a appointed. they are funny in the screen but very sun dude in real life. three and a half out of five. rate two and a half. my favorite movie of the week is most disturbing film i have seen in a long time called tuck called kevin smith. i will not go into that. too disturbing. johnny dep and justin long. >> if you have johnny dep it will be a little bit on the disturbing side. >> i will skip tuck. >> thank you so much. >> i will see you sunday. >> 8:20. the let's stay with philadelphia women what do you say. >> philly girl and she's new master chef. it is courtney. she's on good day. she's cooking up a storm? just a bit. but what is that smell? your stench could get new trouble with the law. the town banning several body

odors, alex, would i suggest a spritz. >> that makes it worse you can't layer it on. >> cologne smell. can't layer it on. >> cologne smell. >> no, your body smell. i've lived hewith my mother, forty--four who is ninety--nine. people who do not live delaware county need to know that tom mcgarrigle raised our taxes five times. five times in seven years.
8:22 am
meanwhile tom mcgarrigle gave a million dollar subsidy to an energy company. tom mcgarrigle is not looking out for regular families or seniors at all. we need john kane in the senate. he gets regular families.

8:25 am
cops, can remove people from public spaces if they smell quote unreasonablely offensive to others. that can mean anything from body odor to too much cologne or perfume. law is raising some concerns from the public. >> i am honestly surprised that is a law. >> sometimes you cannot help. >> is is it something you hate. >> police say they will not be sniffing around, for offenders, who would want to do that but insist they will respond if a citizen complains n a statement city says law is aim at reducing disruptive, illegal, and dangerous behaviors on public property. to they see a link between if you smell then that means you are disruptive. >> are they creating a link between stinky people and breaking the law. >> i don't know. >> but can you imagine being the stink police. >> they say they won't do that. you have to call a report someone offensive. i have a call i need to make,

little bit. i was sniffing around the barn, stable. >> right. >> here's what i figured out. >> one of the main reasons why chrome is here because he cast race against fellow three-year olds. if he goes ahead he had has a bigger purse ahead of him but there are older horses in that race. >> at this point in the season if his connections, his trainer and owners have an opportunity to race against straight three-year old it is a very good thing for the horse to be able to do that. no reason to run begins older horses until you have to. one of the reasons we moved pennsylvania derby winner a way from labor day which is where it was for many days was to put it, in that time frame where as a perfect preparation for the three-year old to get ready for breeders cup and purse in the breeders cup is five million-dollar. so to come to a race, have a chance for a million-dollar purse and get your horse ready for that five million-dollar race is perfect. >> and stay on the east coast, they will not go back and forth. >> he will go back.
8:34 am
he is based on the west coast. they shipped him here on tuesday. when he gets done over the weekend they will ship him back. breeders cup is on the west coast. they will go back home. he is stabled in california. he will do his final preparations for breeders cup out there but he will go back home and we cannot wait to see him with the breeders cup getting here. >> lets talk about some stuff. i see what is happening. we are waiting for him because he will be schooling in the gate right about this time. >> that is correct. >> you are hoping for a couple things. you love this track. you are hoping that other derby winners, kentucky derby winners will see how welcome and his whole team has been treated here and maybe make this a prep race for them next year. >> that is correct. as we said we moved raza way from labor day and put tonight this prep spot for breeders cup and to finally have some of the ownership of the big horse toes take advantage of where we have the race, and increase in the purse, and they have a great time, they enjoy being here at parx.
8:35 am
it trickles down. or people hear about how great it was. then they will want bring their horses and this could take off. >> here's what i love about his team. they are not necessarily expecting a win. everybody is expecting cream to win this. but he has had a layoff. he has been watching netflix video in southern california for a few weeks. >> that is correct. >> he has in the been running or racing. his team is not expecting him to win. there is a horse that his team believes could win as well. >> our racing secretary put together a great race, eight horse field andtories a number of horse that he is can beat him if he is not at his best. that is part of the what the race is for california chrome on the saturday toys get him ready for that next race which is a million-dollar purse next week. the that is a big purse. million-dollar and five million-dollar, which race would you realitier win. >> i could do third grade math. >> yes. >> thank you so much. >> my pleasure. >> guess what we are not leaving. i'm not going anywhere. i'm staying here until
