live from center city in philadelphia. this is "fox 29 news" at 6:00. we are beginning tonight at 6:00 with breaking news. a delaware county man is under arrest, accused of raping a woman and possibly a lot more than that. police say he lured the young woman to his home, using a ad on craigslist. good evening, everybody, i'm joyce evans. now police say what they found inside that man's apartment is even more alarming. this is the breaking story you're only going to see on fox. sabina is live outside upper darby police headquarters right now, sack even, a police say that there may be more victims here? >> reporter: joyce, they believe there many be as many

as 50 victims. here's y inside the suspect's home, they found a homemade forms like this one signed by as many as 50 women, and they believe that would lead them to other victims. now there is all came to light on thursday when a 18 year old woman came forward to upper darby police and she told them she had been raped by man she met on craigslist. now, she is a single mother of one, trying to find a job, she told police, 42 year old kevin cornish of drexel hill allegedly invited her to to apply for position as a home health aid. now police say he invited her to his home offers to fill out some storms. went, filled out the supposed application, hours later, cornish allegedly called her to tell hershey was hired. the victim said cornish took her back to his apartment that he shares with his mother, that's when he allegedly told her to fill out sexually explicit forms saying she was an escort. she refused. that's when investigators say he raped the young mother. later when authorities searched cornish's home, they

found 50 firmed out forms signed by different women. >> 's preditor, dirt ball, slime, real slime. and i will legally involved in in other types of predatory acts, sex all as acts, the exactly the way it is, you don't have these 50 applications, this guy has been doing this type of thing for a long time. >> now, upper darby detectives are hitting this case hard. they've been working it since that victim came forward. they say this is a major investigation, and they're asking any women who believe they may have been victimized by cornish to come forward to the police. meantime, he is being held on $250,000 cash bail. joyce? >> all right, thank you, sabina. we'll follow that story later tonight. thank you so much. now, we are following a developing story. actor and comedian tracey morgan critically hurt during a accident that killed one person on the new jersey turnpike. morgan was headed back to new york city after stands upper

form ands in delaware. now, the accident happened around 1:00 this morning, near cranberry township, that is in middlesex county, that's in new jersey, as we said. police say morgan and six other people were riding inside a limousine bus. investigators say the crash involved morgan's bus, two tractor-trailers, and an s.u.v. a man inside the limo bus died at the accident. police have charged kevin roper of georgia in connection with that accident. cops say his truck slammed into morgan's limo bus. now, morgan and three other men were in critical condition tonight. they still are as far as we know, at the robert wood johnson university hospital center in new brunswick. morgan is 45 years old. he's bet known for his time on saturday night live and on nbc30 rock show. >> this story is still developing as you know. we're going to stay on top of it for you on air and on line. for updates any time you want,

a musical tribute. but to think the katz academy was her only impact on others wouldn't do her life justice. >> marcy was a force of nature. she was a powerhouse. she was a powerhouse compact in the this little person, and she was impressive. >> the 59 year old died last weekends in a bedford massachusetts plane crash that killed six others. the group was returning from an education fundraiser when their plane never made it off the ground. >> do not take anything for granted in this life. i took for granted when i received that text that my marcy was on her way home. >> dalsey's children say she died pursuing her passion, helping others. >> she made sure to let all of us know just how much she cared, every opportunity she had, and i think everyone here you could maybe just try to apply that to your own lives. >> tragedy also took the life

at the center city skyline this evening. beautiful, right? we're headed into a great night out there tonight. so get out and enjoy t and now, we want to welcome meteorologist, dominican davis to fox 29. she that's for caitlin tonight. we cannot ask for anything better than this, can we? >> i know, right, joyce in it is a great start to the weekends. guess what? we're going to get one more day of this, before we start to see some changes. but check out these highs. eighty-four, that was our high today, in the city. we saw temperatures pretty much in the low to mid 80s all around. a little bit above normal. we'll see that trends continue right through our sunday. but the humidity is the nice and low. not really makes quite the difference there. soap, here is a look at temperatures currently. still sitting in the low 80s, in many spots, out to the north and west. when the low 80s here in philadelphia, 08 degrees right now, and temperatures are going to slowly continue to fall through the 70s for this evening. so, overall, we are look at a

really pleasant night ahead, that will be nice and comfortable. so, by about 7:00 this evening, it is warm, 08 degrees, winds stay nice and light, the humidity stays low, 9:00, 75 and pleasant, and then as we start to get closer, to midnight, right around 11:00, looking at 70s, but do have some changes on the way, i'll tell you when you can expect that coming up in a little bit. joy? >> thank you, and police are investigating two overnight shootings that happened on the 5400 block of hunter street. that is in west philadelphia. just after 1:00 this morning, offs ers found a 25 year old man, shot dead. he was shot in the back. moments later, a 30 year old man was found shot multiple times inside a car. now, he's in the hospital tonight in critical condition. there is no word on a motive or if the shootings are related. fire rips right through flower shop in gloucester county, new jersey, happened at rose budd florist on the

200 block of high street, that's in glassboro. now, firefighters arrived around 1:00 this morning, to find smoke, coming from the second floor. nobody was hurt there. and, it is amazing that nobody was hurt in this fast-moving fire in west philadelphia. crews arrived on the 1400 block of 54th street, just after 3:00 this morning. the fire was quickly put under control. no word yet on a cause there. firefighters had to break out a lot of windows to fight this fire in pennsauken township, new jersey. officials say it started on the second floor of this apartment building, on 59400 block of highland avenue. no injuries reported here either. my ooh angelo, gone but nor forgotten. friends, family, gathered at the university thereto pay tribute to the author, poet, dancer and so much more. fox's patho kneel has the story. >> the legacy of doctor mia angelo will forever shine,

do you know this man? police say he's wanted for robbing a family dollar store in wissinoming. they say he walked into the

store wednesday on torresdale avenue, caring a metal pipe. he told the workers to hands over the cash inside the register, but the cashier could not get the cash drawer open. then ran to the back of the store there. so the would be robber tried to open it. when he couldn't, he ran out of the store empty handed. philadelphia police and atf officials looking for clues into explosion of a soda machine. the incident happened thursday night, outside a plumbing business, on the 4200 block of magee avenue, that's in mayfair. authorities say a homemade explosive device was put inside the vending machine, the black rocked the neighborhood, shattering windows there, investigators hope surveillance video showing the suspect placing the device at the scene will help. someone constructed an explosive device and powerful one in somewhat sophisticated one, and we need to have them in custody to make sure that we have them, and any other

components they may possess, to make another device. >> wow. luckily nobody was hurt there, but the owner of the machine says the blast caused thousands of dollars in damage. this is a reminder now for you. if you are traveling in south philadelphia this weekend, the platt bridge is closed. the bridge will be closed to traffic for the entire weekend for repair work. getting coat of sealant. it is part of a $43 million overhaul. it will reopen at 5:00 monday morning. and this alert now for patco riders. patco is temporarily shutting down service between camden, new jersey, and the eighth street station in center city philadelphia. it will start at midnight and last until noon tomorrow. patco will provide shuttle bus service between those stops. and would be ers at atlantic city's revel casino have agreed unionize, agreed

your weather forecast for you. looking good out there? >> a top ten day, joyce. we have low humidity, the temperatures are nice and comfortable, and even the pollen counts really low. so it doesn't really get much better than this. tomorrow we get little bit warmer, but, still, it is one of those top ten days, because the humidity will be at bay, the pollen levels still low, and then there is just plenty of sunshine, so here's what's happening right now. not much of anything. radar going on, we are tracking nothing, that is certainly good news, because it is busy. out in the middle part of the country. this is the next system in the timing with this really is going to be nice. it depends how you look at it, i guess, but it keeps us quiet for the weekends, then this system that is sitting out through the ohio valley, that pushes in here, by monday morning. soap, tomorrow, we still get another fantastic day, and if you were staying in the city, it will be the hottest here. but for mountains, the shore, temperatures low 80s, another fantastic beach day, but

welcome back, detectives are trying to identify a suspect who robbed a dollar village store in kingsessing. employees say the suspect demanded money, while point ago gun at a female worker there. he got away with $150. chester is a city plagued by violence, now residents are stepping up. on a volunteer mission to make sure that high school students celebrating graduation night are safe. our shawnette wilson has the story. >> (cheers). >> it is graduation day for seniors at chester high school. they put on quite a show on ninth street friday evening, still wearing their caps and gowns. also on the street, groups of community members wearing orange shirts that bear the

philadelphia detectives searching for three suspect wanted for robby in pennypack. first guy walked into the blue grass pharmacy on the 2400 block of welsh rd. and pretended to be a customer, then he left. as he was leaving, the two others came in with guns, drawn, demanding drugs.
