zach. they recently received medal from washington county for reuing march 12th of last year. cust about two blocks away on south poto street they were alerted for a smoke alarm.fi fireter arrived found an apartment fire. was told there was a little girl trapped. he made his way around to the side of the building, found a broken window,ould hear her unable to get to her. when engine one arrived with firefighter reid they forced the .ront door firefighter ride reid was able to go inside and rescue the young girl. she was taken to children's hospital and released three days later with no ill effects. ht a rescue like this, mean i t' adrenaline is flowing and you're saving people's lives on a regular basis. is that what's so special about your job is thear rew >> um, not really the reward. we just like helping people and it's ourhe job to bere whenever they call in their time of need tond help thifrout of their worst dave
