game. we have rain off the coast, we have clouds breaking up a little bit. there are additional clouds out to the west, i expect a decent amount of sunshine today, but we are starting out on the cold side. 35 in reading and allentown. for a while we were down to the freezing mark in reading. 44 in philadelphia. down to the freeze mark in millville. we have seen some indications of iciness especially in the northern and western suburbs and central south jersey, so be careful of that this morning. there's the possibility what with roads being wet overnight maybe not completely drying before you get out there and before the temperatures dip, some black ice is possible. it's patchy, but it's possible. i would look out for driveway and sidewalks, parking lots and untreated side streets, too, this morning, possibilities of ice. it's going to be cold today. we'll drop to the freezing mark around 7:00 or so this morning stay there for a while. lots of sunshine up over the

horizon, areas that have the sun beating down on them with melt ice. we'll get up to 35. 30 degrees by 7:00 a.m. the other thing about today it will be windy. we'll have gusts as high as 30 miles per hour. look for windchills in the teens this morning and mid 20s in the afternoon. karen it was a late night, but a fun night. >> reporter: it was, we're expecting people may sleep in this morning. looking live at the blue route ridge pike, not a lot of traffic. you want to watch for a slick spot or two, we've had a a lot of accidents. one in chester springs cleared at 113. bear, delaware, we have run on route juan -- one on route 1 northbound. exit five on the turnpike we have one that is pushed to the shoulder. restricting traffic a little bit there. outside live in new jersey, this is 42 northbound traffic no big problem yet, just want to watch

>> ducis rogers and jamie apody channel 6 "action news." >> many will drag themselves into work and school, but they were out with a lot of the people and there's a lot of cleanup to be done. trish hartman is live in center city. looks like people are back in bed, trish? >> reporter: either that and heading to work looking like a zombie. most of the celebrating fans can gone home. a few people are getting off the bus and making their way to work and school. some fans took things a little bit too far, let's take a look at what we found, video we shot last night in the morning hours. the crowd filled the street after the nail biting ending filling the area around city hall. before long people climbed the gates in front of city hall. light poles and police 0 videos and trash trucks and awning at the ritz carlton collapsed with people on top of it, after they climbed on to it in the midst of

the celebrations. more damage was done when a car was flipped on its side. traffic poles were pulled down. macy's on market street windows were broken and shattered glass was all over the sidewalks. officers were on bikes and foot and horses and encouraged people to go home after celebrating in center city. it was not just in center city, folks in other parts of city were celebrating into the wee hours of the morning. there were injuries, no word on how many or the severity we expect to receive an update from philadelphia police later today. trish hartman channel 6 "action news." >> almost eerily quiet out there, right? the official super bowl merchandise has officially hit

store shelves, people lined up. modell's in south philadelphia, bob brooks said there was a bit of a rush to go in at 5:00 a.m., 40 minutes ago, looks like there are people in there buying merchandise modell's open across the area did so at 5:00 a.m. >> it's wonderful everybody in their eagles green all week long, everywhere i want they had the gear on. >> reporter: i think we lifted them up. >> reporter: i think so too, i walked over to the local grocery store, everybody had eagles jersey on it's a lot of spirit. it's 50/50 chance in sports, but man, did they deliver. storm tracker 6 live double scan, we have dry conditions after all the rain yesterday. looking outside we have clouds above the commodore barry bridge. we're looking at clearing

underway. i think we'll get a decent amount of sunshine through the day and some of it breaking early. temperatures are getting close to freezing mark in spots, 32 in millville. reading, 35. i would caution we had reports of patchy black ice in here and maybe down into south yesterday and rural areas of central south jersey, so be careful driving around, some of you might have ice to chip off the windshield depending on where the temperatures are in your neighborhood. there you see the cloud cover starting to clear out especially from philadelphia and the immediate western suburbs all the way to the coast. there's a lot of cloud cover to the west, i also think dry air will have a tendency to break that up. once the sun comes up we'll mix the moisture at the surface and we'll wind up mostly sunny. in the lehigh valley, brisk and cold, 35. post game aura will have to keep you warm. sunny and brisk and chilly at

the shore, 35 degrees 24 is the overnight low, we'll wake up to temperatures in the 20s tomorrow morning, a little bit colder. the weekend call it was cold on saturday, we had the rain coming in on sunday, that is gone at this point. it actually cleared out quick enough for some of you to get outside and enjoy yourself a little bit bit. tuesday, we have cloud cover breaking up at night. wednesday morning we may have a wintry mix north and west of philadelphia. maybe some that coming into the city, snow and closer to the city, freezing rain and sleet, as well. rain down south. midday, philadelphia has a chance of being wet. in the afternoon and evening some more rain coming through, filtering through the majority of region and getting off the coast sometime in the overnight hours, that makes for a colder, but dry thursday.

we're continuing the party here. let's take a look at the schuylkill expressway city avenue. traffic is moving just fine. there's a good amount of people who got up and headed to work. the traffic lights are down at the intersection of broad and city hall.
