>> good morning it is 5:00 a.m., on this friday, november 10. we're following breaking news. a driver discovered a body lying along a road in south jersey, that leads to an investigation into a deadly hit-and-run. the latest on a tragic shooting death of a two-year-old boy in olney as police look for the weapon. grab a jacket you will need it, maybe gloves and scarf, you may not feel like it right now, but you will be thanking us later. >> david murphy says don't be fooled, i walked outside and it was like not so bad. karen has traffic. >> reporter: not so bad right now, but later, i packed the gloves. >> reporter: the arena tam didn't feel so bad because of

the -- the reason tam didn't feel so bad was because of the hour she gets up in the morning. right now the temperatures does not feel that bad, we're holding 47 degrees in philadelphia. the winds are starting to pick up out of the northwest at 15 miles per hour, though, that is going to start to drive the numbers down. 43 this allentown current. 41 in reading, 47 in philadelphia. 45 in trenton. 44 in wilmington, 42 in millville. winds picking up a little bit not feeling too bad just yet. however as we go through the morning, things change in a hurry. 7:00 a.m. we expect to be 39 degrees. 38 bile 9:00 a.m. and holding 38 through most of the afternoon before dipping later on in the evening. you have to look at the windchills. we're at 37 right now it's not going to be too long, 9:00 a.m. we're down in the teens in the northern and western suburbs and 24-degree windchill in philadelphia. so changes are coming and they are coming fast and furious.

most of the day uncomfortable. we get gradual improvement over the weekend. i'll have the details in the accuweather. >> we have a fatal hit-and-run, accident investigation going on right now maple shade burlington county only one lane in getting by in both directions of route 73. that's a major artery in south jersey, it's happening between 295 and 38. that chunk of route 73. we continue to see the closures running in the area. traffic is squeezing by, but it's restricted in both directions of route 73 with the accident investigation. here's a live look in bristol, bucks county. i-95 northbound at 413 we've got an accident we see the tractor-trailer off to the side right now, traffic is moving okay, i-95 northbound the tractor-trailer off to the side involved with that accident. a single-vehicle accident on the shoulder blocking two lanes westbound at fort washington, watch for that one. vine street expressway looking live and clear, we have

construction that was causing big problems shutting down the schuylkill expressway eastbound at the vine. they have left the scene. you have the vine open and the schuylkill expressway eastbound open, as well. >> breaking overnight, a motorist struck a pedestrian in south jersey leaving the victim to die in the street. a passing driver was one who noticed the victim and tipped off police. "action news" reporter katherine scott is live along route 73 in maple shade burlington county where they made an arrest, katherine. >> reporter: matt, that's right we are still waiting to hear details from police, but we can confirm this was a hit hit-and-n and police are saying they have one person this custody. you can see there are some lane closures here in maple shade right now in both directions. however, it does look like they are wrapping up. you can see police are pulling away. we're seeing people picking up the cones, so hopefully this will be open soon, but this investigation continues even not here on the scene. this happened around 12:30 a.m., police say a passing driver spotted a man lying in the center median and called police.

the victim was pronounced at the scene. police determined this was a hit-and-run. lanes were closed overnight as police gathered evidence and try to reconstruct the accident scene. there are a number of businesses around here, but it's unclear if any surveillance cameras captured the crash along route 73. the nature of the hit-and-run is unclear, police have not said how it happened and the victim hadn't yet been identified, but police have one person in custody. we're still waiting for more details from them. live in maple shade, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thank you, katherine. detectives are investigating the tragic death of a toddler who they believe grabbed a gun and shot himself. it happened in the olney section of philadelphia. jeanette reyes is live for us now at police headquarters with what we know so far. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, tam. police are currently looking

into this tragedy. they are trying to figure out a couple of things who owns the gun and whether it was purchased legally. this morning police are looking for answer surrounding the tragic death of a toddler in the basement of a row home in olney. the evidence indicates the 2-year-old boy died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. two to four people were in the home at the time, it's not clear whether they were in the same room with the boy when the fatal gunshot went off at 2:15 p.m. this afternoon. >> appears to be a tragic gunshot wound to the head. >> a little kid running up and down the street. i would go to the store he would play with my dog. cutist -- cutest kid you would ever seen. >> father and sungle rushed the

you're looking good. we have a fatal accident investigation happening katherine scott has been on the scene in maple shade burlington county new jersey. one lane is getting by in both direction, between 295 and 38. katherine has been saying they are picking up the cones getting ready to clear the accident investigation, but watch for restrictions out there right now. restrictions on 495 southbound blocking two lanes near 12th street until 7:00 a.m. this morning. that causes some big problems. still seeing the green traffic flow and no issues just yet. they are blocking three lanes of i-95 near 295. so those restrictions still in place. look at the numbers, 41 in quakertown, 44 in pottstown and malvern. 47 in center city. in the suburbs of new jersey, 45. in a hammonton, 46. in dover, delaware, problem is temperatures are going to drop. high this afternoon of 38 degrees and the winds are going to be howling we're seeing
