if not you'll get soaked. meteorologist chris sowers joins us live with a look at the soggy start to the weekend. >> we have leftover showers out there right now. it's not a terrible day, we may see some sunshine this afternoon. it's just this morning that we're focused on. let's get you outside live on sky6 live hd, show you the view looking at the camden waterfront. lots of clouds. it's not raining in the city, we have showers across south jersey and delaware, heavier thunderstorms currently pushing through sussex county in delaware. looks like that will be working out to sea, storm tracker 6 live we've set it in motion for you, and again, you can see all the activity, the heaviest stuff right here, indicated by the reds, the organs and yellows all that is pulling away, it's not lifting north in the delaware and lehigh valleys. there's the lone thunderstorm south of lewis, east/northeast, lightning strikes associated with that, you can see

downpours, but it's not lifting north. delaware bay region we have leftover showers, this model confirms from accuweather this will hit the coast by mid morning. from that point on combination of sun and clouds it's a sticky day there could be one or two spotty showers in the afternoon. it's not a wash, leftover morning shower, otherwise mainly cloud speaks of sun, sticky day, late-day shower or thunderstorm is possible. let's say after 4 or 5:00 p.m. that's with the arrival of the cold front. could be a quick heavy hitting thunderstorm or downpour, as well. we're not look at severe weather. when i come back we'll look at how sunday develops and what to expect next week. >> thank you chris. you can keep an eye on the rainy weather with the 6abc app check the radar images from across the region. the 6abc app is a free download

for your mobile device. police are searching for the a person who shot a woman through her bedroom window. it happened on on somerdale avenue in northeast philadelphia. the woman heard a noise and got out of bed. >> looked outside, didn't see anything, went back to her bed and next things you know she felt a burning sensation. >> the 58-year-old woman was shot three times. she is in stable condition. police found bullet holes in the window screen and the victim's pillow. officers believe this was a targeted attack. because the shooter would have needed a chair to reach high enough to fire through the bedroom window. "action news" learned the victim is a security guard for philadelphia family court. >> 6:03 a.m. happening this morning there's an investigation underway after philadelphia police shot and killed a man suspected of breaking into a car. you can see the massive presence right here from chopper 6 hd, that attempted break-in is on

the beginning of the story. dann cuellar explains police fired their weapons after the suspect tried to grab two officers weapons. >> reporter: a peanut vendor was mining his truck when he startled by gunfire. >> boom boom boom boom boom. >> it sounded like firecrackers, when i heard somebody they were shooting. we sent all the kids inside. >> reporter: 25th district officers ended up shooting tyrice carlisle. his mother called police saying he was trying to steal his car. police officer approached the man. >> the man tried to disarm the officer while the gun was in the holster. they radioed for back up. >> reporter: they commanded the man to let go of the officer's gun. >> he let go of officer one's gun and grabbed officer two's gun. >> reporter: that prompted the officers to fire at the suspect. >> appears all three officers

rain. >> that's the norm. >> reporter: the norm brings about a nice sunday. that's what we have in store for you. beautiful shot of cape may, the rain pulling away, the lots of clouds, the humidity is high, feels uncomfortable. you may get a little bit of sunshine down the jersey shore. really it's tomorrow, tomorrow is your beach day. satellite and radar we take a look here, a quick look at the headlines. most of the activity again is in the process of pushing through now, we'll see a couple of rounds first round is pushing through now. pushing out to sea, that's with the warm front the second round arrives later that were with the approaching cold front. we're not expecting widespread thunderstorm activity with that, but a couple of pop ups develop between 4 and 7:00 p.m. leftover showers, clouds and sun, not a bad day overall. late-day thunderstorm possible, any one of the thunderstorms could bring a quick-drenching downpour to parts of the area.

called to a northeast philadelphia target store when a gunman opened fire. >> the guy got shot and walked in will i recallly and fell to -- he walked in literally and fell to his knees. >> reporter: shattered car windows and bullet casings mark the spot where a man was shot in the back feet from the busy store. >> four or five males got into a fistfight and someone produced a firearm. >> you heard five or six gunshots. >> reporter: it happened at 3:30 p.m. while robertson was there with her 2 1/2-month-old son. >> i ran with him. >> we didn't know where he was and what was going on, from that

description or good picture of a person of interest as they continue to search for the driver in a hit-and-run accident in center city that left a woman dead. this is the man in the vehicle police are looking for this morning. anne broad -- brodrick was crossing race street when a jeep rubicon hit her and took off. the surveillance cameras captured the car after the crash. the jeep rubicon has a distinction look, it has black fender and big tires and white top. >> we did not recover any car parts from the scene, there might not be that much damage to the vehicle. there may be a dent from where the impact occurred. >> all right, folks here's another look at the mann police want to talk to in connection with the hit-and-run incident. if you recognize the man or seen this car, call philadelphia police.

the search continues this morning for a bandit who stole drugs and employee gun from a philadelphia county pharmacy. chopper 6 hd was over the pharmacy on west state street in media yesterday. a tall man dressed in a burqa took opioids and imply's weapon before dashing out the back door. authorities believe they caught the main supplier of a drug ring. he has been on the run for five months. 12 other suspects were arrested in march. prosecutors claim that the brothers would get heroin from heroin in west philadelphia every few days and sell as many as 400 bundle a week on the street in quakertown. >> a live-in advisor at a penn state fraternity where a pledge
