officials say he took his temperature twice a day, was mindful of contact with people, but did leave his apartment. despite feeling fatigued the night before the diagnosis he went bowling in britain and rode the subway and stopped in the restaurant. >> the thing to make clear the first time this patient had fever is today. fever is typical sign of a person developing contagious ebola. >> reporter: neighbor also of experiences seal off apartment can't help but be on edge. >> i am surprised he was allowed to come to the apartment building, where he was and what his exposure was. >> spencer's fiance is showing no signs of ebola, but is in quarantine as a precaution at the hospital. a few friends are in quarantine

new jersey high school team to come under fire for alleged haitzing. hazing. the sayerville school district fired three paid part-time coaches and volunteers. criminal charges are pending against 7 players. a gun incident at malvern prep high school has landed two men behind bars. police arrested 22-year-old richardson of ardmore and michael o'brian of glen mills. police say they were using a 22 caliber rifle to shoot target practice on school grounds. nobody was hurt. first look at business, coming at you from the big board. cash-strapped sears holdings is closing 16 stores and laying off 6100 workers. him many are in pennsylvania and

56 degrees, 45 is the dewpoint. the air is fairly dry. the winds west northwest at 5 miles per hour. it will get breezier later. the area of low pressure is well off to the north an east. we're getting a breeze around it later on, but a mix of clouds and sun today and no rain. as we roll through the day, temperatures improve, 53 degrees by 8:00. 11:00 getting up to 60. 2:00, 64. the high 67 degrees, probably around 4:00. 66 at 5:00. yesterday we got up to 57. today it will be better, temperature-wise. sun and clouds and breezy. high temperatures today, 65 in allentown, 64 in cape may. general you're looking for the upper 60s for the afternoon high partly cloudy and breezy, 51 degrees by 7:00.

stretch of dry weather prior to that and it looks dry on thursday. >> thanks so much, david. >> terrorism, developing story now, terrorism is not being ruled out in yesterday's axe attack on new york city police officers. an officer suffered critical head injuries when a hatchet man attacked without warning. one officer was struck in the head. another in the arm. the other two officers suffered minor injuries, but managed to fire on the suspect. he was pronounced dead at the scene. >> this is new on "action news," a school district in nebraska will allow students to pose with their guns in their senior photos as long as as it is done tastefully. the broken bow public school board will allow students to display guns.

the district had not allowed guns in photos citing the number of school violence across the country. parents in the district pressed for the change. this north carolina woman is a tangle because of what deputies found in her hair we've at a county jail. before she was processed, deputies noticed her leaving a bathroom with her head tilted in an odd way. they searched and found a small handgun in her hair we've. police are trying to determine how the officers who arrested her in the first place did not notice the gun. >> happening today, investigators will return to the area where human remains possibly belonging to hannah graham were discovered. a skull and bones were found last saturday at this abandoned property. investigators are waiting for a positive identification. police say graham's missing person's case has been changed to a death investigation. the missing uva student was last
