this as cities and towns in the delaware valley reveal how they plan to prepare. also, the mid-term elections just weeks away. tonight we look at the race that will put a new congressman in an influential pennsylvania district. and a disease that affects so many. how families of women with breast cancer are now getting the support they need to help. coverage of ebola in america continues with the latest developments tonight. >> president obama today appointed an ebola czar. he is a trusted white house advisor. ron klain now the pointman on the fight against ebola in africa and at home. and a healthcare worker handling duncan's samples, is on a cruise ship. and that is now heading back to the united states. and nurse nina pham now in fair condition at the national institutes for health in maryland. we also learned today three pennsylvania residents were on a

flight with the second nurse diagnosed with the disease. they are not showing symptoms but are being monitored in texas. at home, cities and towns are preparing for the possibility of ebola in their communities. trenton, first responders are training to handle whatever hazards may come their way. and "action news" respondent with a look at that and joining us live from the news room with that. >> hi there, monica. they say the ebola crisis is being taken very, very serious by the department. that's why, like many other towns, firefighters and e.m.t. anticipates are reviewing policies and personnel issues and all of that to make sure they respond correctly should they have an ebola case. >> these are on every single one of our ambulances and trucks. >> and e.m.t.s are getting refresher courses on suiting up with protection equipment, the possibility they may handle a patient with ebola. under the suit, mask and goggles

>> breaking news tonight. now from the city of chester, chopper 6 hd over the scene here where a woman was shot and killed in this neighborhood. you can see dozens of police cruisers on the street. this is the 2900 block of west 11th street in chester. what we know now according to the delaware county authorities, bullets rang out after 5:00 this evening and a woman was shot in the chest she was rushed to the crozer-chester medical facilities she did not survive. looking live from chopper 6, a woman shot in the chest, the 2900 block of west 11th street. police cruisers on the scene and suspect some type of homicide investigation is underway. no word yet on if there are any arrests or a motive for the shooting. a deadly shooting here.
