westville, gloucester county causing a problem with the morning commute, tam. >> thank you, karen. >> developing overnight an american journalist infected with the ebola virus is on the the way to the u.s. to receive treatment in nebraska. the head of the cdc will brief president obama on the crisis this afternoon. officials say they are confident there will not be a widespread outbreak in the county. they are monitoring 40 people who came into contact with a man named thomas duncan who remains in critical condition at a dallas hospital while haz/mat continues the second and final decontamination phase at his apartment. officials are looking at ways to limit the overall risks of americans from being infected. >> we'll look at what we do doesn't unintentionally increase our risk. if we make it harder to fight

and woke up the next day and passed away, you'll have parents who are very, very concerned. those parents went to the health and state officials with the concerns yesterday. ely waller died from entrovirus d68 on september 25. the cdc confirmed the results on friday. entrovirus d68 is common, infected 10 to 15 million people a year, but the "d" 68 strain is not. it is among the most dangerous, health officials say the boy didn't have any preexisting medical conditions and his condition worsened rapidly. >> rooms have no ventilation whatever is. inaudible. >> do we have to keep the children home if they start sneezing or coughing? >> reporter: and his father releasedded a statement that

reads -- released a statement in part that reads -- now, another 4-year-old boy who goes to yardville elementary has symptoms of entrovirus d68 which are similar to the common cold. his test results did not come back from the cdc, but he did share two classrooms with waller. school officials are urging parents to be vigilant of any symptoms urging their children to use abundance of caution when washing their hands. they want people to make sure they keep clean if your son or daughter has symptoms, you may want to keep them home and take them to a doctor as a precaution, the school has gone above and beyond to clean the school and water fountains to prevent the spread of the entrovirus d68. chad perdelli channel 6 "action news." >> chad your heart goes out to that poor child's families.
