"action news" reporter sarah bloomquist is live at police headquarters tonight, sarah. >> well, jim, police are hoping a 40,000 reward helps to bring in the tip identifying the shooter. they believe bullets were intended for white sedan seen speeding down the block and possibly with two men inside. instead one of the stray bullets hit a young mother, pregnant young mother. killing her, her baby girl also did not survive. neighbors put up a small memorial open the spot where 25-year-old megan doto was shot and killed yesterday morning. >> beautiful bubbly young lady. >> she was fearly 8 months pregnant with her third child. 10:45 a.m. she was sitting outside 1520 adams avenue watching her neighbor's children and theres with a man in black that fired at least ten times at a white, four-door sedan

speeding down the block. a bullet missed the car and hit doto instead. >> she's a totally innocent victim just sitting on a step out there with a young friend and one of bullets from the top of the block comes all the way down and strikes her one time in the face. >> that young friend megan doto said he tried to help her but there was nothing he could do. >> the worst part was i knew that she was dead from the beginning the moment she hit the ground she was dead. >> doctors delivered doto's baby girl by emergency c-section and the infant did not survive the night. >> somebody knows something out there i mean rarely does something happen and there's absolutely fwhoun witnessed it or has some information. so people need to come up and step up on this one. >> reporter: doto leaves behind two other children ages 4 and 6. police acknowledge there is quite a big deal of drug activity in the area.

tonight they're bringing in known drug dealers in the area pressing them for information. again there's a $40,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. live at philadelphia police headquarters i'm sarah bloomquist, "channel 6 action news." jim. >> thank you, sarah. from rural blooming grove, pennsylvania, state police say the reward is now $75,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the gunman that shot and killed a pennsylvania state trooper friday night. and wounded a second trooper. the dead trooper once worked at the belmont barracks in philadelphia and that's where "action news" reporter chad pradelli is now live. chad, what's the latest here. >> jim, state police say the gunman used high power sniper rifle to shoot the two troopers. this begun sman prove efficient in the weapon and has extensive practice twice it and military or law enforcement background and may have an ongoing problem with state police or government.

as the search for the gunman continues troopers here continue to mourn the loss of corporal brian dixon and as you can see the flag is at half staff. the shooter ambushed corporal brian dixon and trooper alex douglass friday night the two had no time to defend themselves. using a high powered rifle similar to the semi-automatic sniper weapon the ghaun unloaded on the men during a shift change outside the blooming grove barracks in scranton. >> first i want to say so you you're a coward. you committed this spineless act and attacked defenseless troopers, shot them, they had no opportunity to defend themselves. and did you it from a place of hiding and then ran. >> sources tell "action news" detectives want to interview an unidentified man who visited the barracks prior to the shooting. at this point he's not

officials are investigating what led up to a fatal accident in sent-er isity philadelphia this morning an oncoming train struck and killed a woman at the 8th and market station just before 9:00. the station was shut down as officials conducted their investigation and the station was reopened at 10:30. there's been a lot of talk following friday night's football gawm at phoenixville area high school. they gave breathalyzer tests to student there without adults. and the officials defend that decision saying this is nothing new. live at the high school tonight is "action news" reporter john rawlins. john. >> reporter: jim, i think the disstripingt here a little surprised by some of the reactions here particularly critical reaction on social media. as it pointed out a number of times it's it's had a policy since db to be able to use breathalyzer and used them for proms and that sort of thing to detect under age drunking and it is all in the student handbook. however parents we talked to she
