buildings just beyond my shoulder here. very little clock around. in fact satellite reinforces that idea. clouds out to the west kind of falling apart a bit. we'll probably see some favor weather cumulus as we go through the day. does look like a very sunny start n terms of temperatures my twitter follower tow knee up in ziglerville reports a chilly 56 degrees early this morning and as you take a look at the big map allentown has slipped to 54 and 59 in reading and down into the 50's in lancaster so a very cool start up north. millville in the 50's and philadelphia not exactly balmy, 64 degrees with a bit of a breeze blowing. as we roll through the day 68 by 9 o'clock, 75 by noon and accuweather says he see a high of 80 degrees at 3 o'clock. winds on the light side, humidity low and warm this afternoon but really comfortable considering the low humidity. when i step inside, guys, we will talk about a change in the forecast heading toward the latter part of the work week. but for now things feel comfortable.

hopefully it's comfortable on the roads. >> we have this one accident out here right now. it's in newark delaware and the problem is it brought down a pole so they've shut down old ball more pike closed at old cooches bridge road. stick to route 40 to get around that. let's hop into our cameras and see what it looks like in new jersey. 42 creek road northbound traffic building volume coming from turnersville deptford or blackwood. if you're going the take 42 and head over the ben franklin bridge this is wait looks like. no problem westbound as you try to come into the city. now eastbound we've got that ongoing construction blocking the right lane. so you've got one lane blocked eastbound. switching over to i-95 some of the first signs of volume we see here approaching cottman but doesn't look bad just yet, does it? this is i-95 southbound as you try to head towards center city, you'll have no problems just yet on i-95. on the schuylkill expressway here at spring garden street we can see eastbound traffic a little more volume coming into center city. the road has been milled so expect a bumpy ride which is good. i replaced a few tires from

the winter potholes. what's an alignment to throw in. matt. >> thank you karen. a man is recovering from a stabbing outside a home in the city's overbrook section. police say it happened during an argument and they are now questioning two people. incident happened at columbia avenue near 61st street at 2:00 a.m. the victim was stabbed multiple times and when police arrived, they took away a man in hands cuffs and then led a woman away from the scene. so far no charges have been filed. philadelphia police are crediting neighbors for leading them to the two suspects in the carjacking crash that killed three children. "action news" reporter katherine scott is lie at germantown and allegheny avenues in tioga where a vigil is scheduled tonight. katherine. >> reporter: and matt, city council president darrell clarke was out here last night. he says the city owns part of this lot so they're considering making a more permanent memorial here for these children. meanwhile the family is holding another vigil for the children tonight and you can see that the memorial here has been growing at allegheny and

germantown in tioga. people have been leaving stuffed animals and candles for these children. people have been coming from all over the city to remember siblings 10-year-old thomas reed, 15-year-old keieara williams and seven year old terrence moore. the mother was critically injured an family friend broke her ankle. the two men were arraigned overnight and denied bail. the charges come after a three day man hunter. a reward of more than $100,000 was offered. witnesses and others who saw the aftermath of the crash said seeing the victims in the grass last friday drove them to speak up. >> you had to do something. you just couldn't stand there and not feel nothing. you know, it hurted to see them babies laying there. >> we have three young people who are dead and critically injured individuals based on a

senseless act and we have to make sure it never happens again. >> reporter: nba legends and former philadelphia 76er charles barkley has stepped in. he's offered to pay for the funerals for the three children. he's been in communication with the family to make sure that happened. tonight's vigil takes place at 6 o'clock. we're live in tioga, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> katherine thank you for that. it is now 6:05. a driver is dead after crashing his car into the delaware river. police say he was fleeing a hit and run accident. the volkswagen went airborne and into the river by the busy market street overpass. police and witnesses say the suv was speeding. good samaritans jumped into the water to try to shave trapped driver. >> they were in the water when i arrived and they -- one of them had his hand but he couldn't get him out. >> firefighters then dove in and pulled the man out. he later died at the hospital. the hit and run crash he was allegedly fleeing happened at fourth and arch. police are examining the suv to learn more about other possible factors in that

crash. >> and new on "action news" t-robbers who tried to make a run for in it berks county didn't get too far because their gps gave them away. police were able to use a gps tracker to find the car and started to chase it through the city of reading. the bandits were wandered for holding up a bank in muhlenberg township yesterday morning. police stopped the car with spike strips and took a man and woman into custody. no one was hurt during the highspot pursuit. >> southwest airlines is facing quite a whopper of a fine. maribel aber is live at the nasdaq in times square and she has more details on why. good morning, maribel. >> reporter: good morning tam. southwest getting slapped with a $12 million fine. the faa brought the fine against the airline for allegedly failing to comply with repair orders on its boeing 737 planes. so the case combines three separate safety violations dating what, to 2006 and a southwest spokeswoman told u.s.a. today these repair issues were fixed years ago.

77 million americans are delinquent on their debt. that's nearly a third of the country with debt in collection according to a new urban institute study. the study found that these americans are behind on paying an average of $5,200. that includes debt from credit cards child support bills, parking tickets and membership fees. let's talk stocks. stocks barely budged on deal news monday as markets weighed on a slew of economic data coming later this week. futures pointing to a lower open. the largest home in l.a. hit the market for $150 million. forbes is reporting formula one heiress eckelstone put her mansion up for sale. she bought the former home of tv producer aaron spelling back in 2011. it sold at market price. it will be the most expensive home ever sold in the u.s.a. matt and tam, not a bad profitly she purchased it for a cool $85 million. >> that would be a nice profit. i wonder how much that --

valley. in the visits right now and mid 70's later. down on the shore front not bad, 78 degrees by 3 o'clock. we probably will stay in the 60's in the water so it will be a little bit cooler than it's been for much of the last month or so. 73 by noon. pleasant enough on the beach, though. lots of fun in the sun there. and 80 degrees is the high in philadelphia, sun mixing with some occasional clouds. pleasant conditions with winds averaging five to 10 miles per hour and that humidity on the low side. and here's how we climb. 66 by 8:00 a.m., 73 by 11:00 and we spend most of the afternoon in the upper 70's with that high of 80 striking briefly around 3 o'clock before it settles back. and thin tomorrow it's going to be another nice day. we'll have a frontal boundary out to the west that will turn those winds a bit out of the southwest that will raise our temperatures a few degrees. but it looks like it's still not all that humid and still pretty comfortable. thursday we probably start to feel a little more sticky. your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast refreshing today. a high of 80, a fair amount of sunshine with those fair weather cumulus clouds digging in during the day and then

partly sunny and nice tomorrow, a high of 84. a bit more humid on thursday with a high of 85. but still dry. friday warm and humid, a high of 85 again and friday especially late in the day or at night there could be a couple of spotty thunderstorms developing. then we get into the weekend and it's a mix of clouds and sun with highs in the low to mid 80's. could be a little bit on the sticky side and there's the chance of a spotty thunderstorm around in the afternoon and evening on both saturday and sunday. neither day necessarily looks like a washout but you'll want to be watching your storm tracker 6 app on your smartphone if you're outside both days, okay. and little more unsettled on monday, 86 degrees there. >> we could deal with that. thank you david. 6:10 now. the mystery of what happened the man accused of holding the 16-year-old hostage since last fall is due in court today. >> a community center is in need after crooks made off with much needed classroom supplies. karen. >> 202 is looking pretty good here at main street in norristown. no problems here. starting to slow up on i-95. i'll take you there live coming up.

>> depends on which side of the highway you're on and where you're headed. if you're headed to center city like everyone right here, you could see you've got a slower ride. this is i-95 as you might expect at allegheny. sobbed traffic starting to slow from allegheny to girard so that traffic as you head towards center city really starting to build up of course northbound you're pretty clear right there. let's take tout maps. on the pennsylvania turnpike westbound near bensalem we have construction blocking the right lane and the center lane so two lanes blocked at this point. should be clearing pretty soon but in the meanwhile you're looking at this area of yellow and speeds about 43 miles an hour. so, watch for a slow go westbound on the pennsylvania turnpike. in newark, new castle county we have an accident that brought down a pole and because of that they've shut down old baltimore pike. it's been closed all morning here at old cooches bridge road. stick to route 40 as your alternate to get around that. in wilmington south park drive is closed between west street and the market street bridge here for emergency inspection here of the stone wall. began yesterday. no word when they'll reopen this so stick to north park drive or 12th, 13th or 14th

streets as your alternate. let's look at these temperatures. it's a cool start. 55 degrees in quakertown, 57 in coatesville. 58 in oxford. it's 63 in center city but you could see the suburbs in new jersey just in the 50's in a lot of them like ewing browns mills all 59. 58 in vineland this morning so grab the sweater as you head out, tam. >> thank you karen. a michigan man walking his dog found a newborn baby on the side of the road. he says the dog was tugging him towards some bushes and when he looked in he saw the baby curled up with the umbilical cord still attached. police say that they have spoken to the mother but they're not saying anything about her situation or what led her to leave the infant in the bush along the road. a new hampshire man charged with kidnapping a 15-year-old girl nine month ago is scheduled to be arraigned today. 34 year old nathaniel kibby is accused of holding abigail hernandez hostage since october. she returned on july 20. officials did not release

hamas says it's ready for a long fight. >> european union will impose sanctions aimed against russia's economy. the eu says russia supplied rebels with a missile system that shot down a malaysia airlines flight in ukraine. the plane's black boxes show missile shrapnel destroyed that plane. the white house backs the new eu sanctions. >> a dad a search is on in delaware county for a wawa customer who decked a plan at a deli county. police believe the attacker, a dad became angry when he saw the 47-year-old victim checking out his daughter. >> there was an argument that ensues. the gentleman who is getting the sandwich denies looking at this guy's daughter and the guy sucker punches him. >> the victim is being treated forehead wounds an possible concussion. now this all happened at the wawa on 69th street near patterson avenue in upper darby on sunday night. police are asking for help in finding the attacker seen here. they think he drove away in a ford sedan. >> happening today, the ntsb

your dewpoint down at 55. well below what we would consider humid. and the winds northwest at seven. i'll tell you when the wind starts blowing even if it's a little light kind of makes you hunch your shoulders a little bit. some suburbs are in the 50's places like reading and the lehigh valley and out towards lancaster. as we take a look at satellite and radar you can see lack of cloud cover so lots of sun early on. we'll probably see a few fair weather clouds popping through as the day continues but overall it looks pretty bright and pretty nice. looks like we'll go from 66 at 8 o'clock up to about 73 by 11:00 so very comfortable through the morning hours and this afternoon we're spending most of our time in the upper 70's, 78 degrees by 2 o'clock, that high of 80 briefly at 3:00 and then we're back down to 77 degrees at 5 o'clock. high temperatures across the region, 76 degrees in allentown, 77 in reading, 78 in trenton, 79 in wilmington. down the shore per usual we're going to be in the mid to upper 70's from cape may on up the coast towards atlantic city and beyond and then tomorrow it's still going to be nice because we've got a frontal boundary that will be

well off to the west providing a fair amount of sunshine tomorrow. a little bit more of a southwesterly flow that will raise our temperature a few degrees but it doesn't look like it gets humid again until thursday and even that might be just relatively humid. as we take a look at our exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast, idea is the high today. refreshing. you'll need sunscreen but otherwise it's going to be a really nice one out there and i might encourage you to get outside and enjoy it if you can. partly sunny and nice again tomorrow but a little warmer, a lie of 84. and then a bit more humid on thursday, a high of 85 but it looks like we stay dry. friday is when it gets warm and more noticeablely humid a-high of 85 and with a front a little closer to us there could be a late day or night time spotty thunderstorm. in the coming weekend, well, clouds and sun both saturday and sunday with high temperatures in the low to mid 80's. and again there's the chance of some spotty showers and thunderstorms. i know some of had you had plans to be out on saturday afternoon or night and maybe sunday and i'm getting tweets about people anxious about the outdoor -- you know, all of the stuff we're looking at is spotty stuff on saturday and zip the way it looks right
