speaks out. plus, weekend warmup, but get ready for storms to move in, meteorologist chris sowers joins us with a look at the accuweather forecast. each time the weather gets warmer, the storms pop over. >> reporter: tomorrow will be the better chance of thunderstorms. today will be nice, temperatures on the comfortable side. tomorrow, it will be humid and warmer and the thunderstorms will pop up. let's take a look at atlantic city, that's what's going on right now. it's a quiet morning up and down the eastern seaboard in the delaware valley and the mid atlantic. we're expecting sun and clouds throughout the day. doesn't look to be all that bad. there could be a brief shower west of the city, but outside of that, mostful saturday will be dry. 69 degrees in philadelphia. millville, 612. 56 for the poconos. allentown, 60.

reading, 63. dover, comfortable, 64. stone harbor, boardwalk in atlantic city, all showing 69 degrees, you can see this canopy of clouds extending westward through the keystone state. there's shower activity pushing through state college this morning. it's running into very dry air from washington, d.c. to up to boston. as it continues to push on to the east, it will encounter that dry air. there could be a brief shower far western suburbs. outside of that the day planner looks dry, lunchtime, 82 degrees, 3:00 p.m., 8 # degrees and 6:00 p.m., 82 degrees. as we look ahead it does look like a muggy weekend. next week you're going to wake up and think it's september.

i'll have the cooler numbers in the seven day when i come right back. >> "action news" was on the scene on the 100 block of east ontario street in the city's kensington section. flames were shooting from the basement and first floor of the row home. the woman is expected to be okay. no word on what may have sparked that blaze. there's still no sign of the carjackers who killed three children in a hit-and-run crash. philadelphia police are scouring surveillance video hoping it offers clues. meanwhile, a memorial is growing at allegheny and germantown avenue where the children died in front of their mother. an suv carjacked plowed into a fruit stand. the kids were there collecting money for their churn. the carjackers took off leaving the mother to die.

window. the five-year-old girl fell ten feet to the ground below. she was taken to children's hospital for non-life threatening injuries. the family of the victim of the shooting in delaware county talked to exclusively with "action news." chad perdelli sat down with the case worker as he spoke lovely about his -- lovingly about his center. >> reporter: dennis hunt's little sister is gone. shot dead at the hands of richard plot. he saids sister was one of the youngest of nine siblings, but she loomed large in the family. they called her mother teresa. >> she stands up for what thebles in, and good -- what she

lisa thomas-laurey profiles the president of the milton hershey school and the story is remarkable. >> reporter: this the home from which his mother sent him at age 5 to the milton hershey school. the more i approached hershey i understood i would not have the opportunity of seeing my mom everyday. >> it was sad enough when my brothers went. >> reporter: but that was the young one. pete was the youngest of four boys and five girls. when their dad died his mother knew they would have more opportunities at the school than at home. pete excelled. >> he said to me, some day, i want to be president of this school. i neverring forgot it. i thought he was dreaming at the

in philadelphia, he is in a different kind of fight for his daughter's life. a home burns to the ground as firefighters in northern california try to to get the upper hand on a wildfire that scorched hundreds of acres of land. >> reporter: eva, we're watching showers push through state college this morning, one or two could survive the journey and push through the western suburbs this morning. we'll have thunderstorms tomorrow, i'll have the details

>> fire gutted a limo in no longer california, the driver got out before flames and smoke decimated the vehicle. the flames became too intense and he got out, nobody else was inside it is limo. a wildfire has destroyed several homes near sacramento, california. residents in the line of fire are in shelters. wind is sweeping the blaze across more than 600 acres of rugged terrain. it's not known what started the fire, the good news strangers are rallying together to get help for the evacuees. luckily we'll not see that in our area. >> reporter: we'll have a very quiet saturday, but a very active sunday.

composite. there's a band of moisture pushing through the central portions of pennsylvania this morning. this is ahead of a warm front which is slicing through the ohio valley that warm front punches through overnight tonight into tomorrow, that's when you're going to notice the change in the humidity level. it will feel increasingly more humid today. here's the close up view. some of it is heavier, the air is very dry across the delaware valley morning, as it continues to push east into the dry air a lot of it will evaporate before it reaches the ground. here's future tracker 6, later this afternoon nothing more than a combination of sun and clouds, again with the outside chance of a pop-up shower west of the city. overnight tonight, partly cloudy skies. tomorrow will be active, the storm prediction center has the entire delaware valley in a slight risk for severe weather. by 7:00 a.m., the model is hinting at thunderstorms in the

area, actually a couple of bands here. they will push through in the morning hours and into the afternoon there will be heavier stuff across the delaware bay region push into cape may and atlantic county in south jersey. the pattern is muggy, that will trigger the showers and thunderstorms for tomorrow. watch what happens next week. this is unbelievable chilly air mass come july. highs struggle to get out of the 70s, it's aen an unusual air mass, the highs are in the 50s across the up of michigan and northern portions of minnesota machinele we'll enjoy that that will be a nice break from the oppressive heat and humidity. lehigh valley, combination of sun and clouds, there could be a pop-up shower, maybe a rumble of thunder, 86 degrees, a 30% chance. jersey shore is dry. combination of sun and clouds, lunchtime, 79 degrees,
