taking a look at your roads. good morning. >> good morning, it's going to be another day where we're watching these storms very closely. on storm tracker 6 live double scan we can see nothing more than a sprinkle over here near wilmington and out the our southwest. we'll stay predominantly dry through much of the morning hours. it's later on this afternoon that we're really watching. satellite 6 and action radar slowing that we're going to see clouds, we have some breaks in the clouds here and there and you could start to see some showers trying to fire up. nothing terribly serious just yet. that's going to happen again later this afternoon. look at the dewpoints. the measure of how much moisture in the atmosphere. already 70 degrees or above in some of the areas, 74 in dover, 73 in wilmington. we have this kind of humidity it doesn't take much to get these drenching downpours and we've got a lot working together in the atmosphere to help that happen and that's why the national weather service has this flash flood watch extended through the evening because these downpours are likely. we could see as much as 1 to 3 inches of rain with any one of these storms that follow through in the area.

as we look at storm tracker 6 live double scan you can see that some of the storms are billowing up well out to the west. we'll be watching this closely. it's coming at us later on this afternoon. i'm going to show you exactly what it looks like on future tracker 6 in just a couple minutes, matt. >> personally i thought yesterday's round was enough but i guess we'll do some more. good morning karen rogers. we're still trying to recover from the round of storms last night that left us with high water here in south philadelphia but as you can see this shot looks a little bit different from how it looked 10 minutes ago. they have reopened the northbound lanes of 26th street headed towards the schuylkill expressway. they got the drains unclogged and the tunnels there so you can travel away from the platt bridge towards 76 once again. we are watching some fire activity this morning, an underground fire at 18th and sansom near rittenhouse. they've reopened the ramp from 95 northbound at cottman. that had been closed because of flooding and overall there was not a lot of overnight construction because of the wet conditions. live look now at the roosevelt boulevard extension here in east falls.

negater plea serious just yet. i think that's going to wait until the daytime heating kind of helps ignite the atmosphere a little and this front begins to cross. this is future treark's look at 4 o'clock this afternoon, maybe a stray shower popping up at any point today but you start to see that line form out to the west and then at 6:30, it becomes a little more clearly defined almost the same timing as yesterday and we see some of the storms indicating the red or pup pell indicating some really heavy downpours potentially hail with some of these storms as well. this is a look at 8:30 as it begins to cross through the area and then once again tomorrow morning well get the remnants of another line that starts to come through and produce more shower activity during part of your morning rush. so it's going to take awhile before we're really done with this weather. severe weather threat again today. we are under a slight risk not for the entire region for gusty winds, downpours and lightning with these storms that come through and we have flash flood concerns again. we had that flash flood watch continuing through the area. we've got a strong jet stream with colder air up aloft and

the winds are parallel to the front and that could help training. the storms that come through along this front could possibly hit the same areas over and over and that's what could give us 1 to 3 inches of rain in any one spot so why we have to be really careful with today's storms. here's a look at your exclusive accuweather 7-day. it's not going to rain all day but you really have to watch for it especially this afternoon when you get these gusty storms and these drenching downpours. 87 degrees for your high. tomorrow morning looks like we have another round of mostly just showers and then in the afternoon it's breezy and cooler and 83. thursday refreshing, lower humidity, dry, partly sunny and 83. that's our last good dry day. friday sunshine behind clouds the chance for a shower, 85. saturday a couple of spotty storms around, 84 but that also means many spots will be dry so it's not going to be terrible for you, just something to keep an eye on. sunday clouds and sun, a better chance of a few showers and thunderstorms and 86. monday warm and humid and 87. so, some strong storms coming again today.
