you have to be careful as you head out. it will be a different scene later today as you expect more of the storms moving through the area. there's a flash-flood watch in effect today and tomorrow evening, as well. we could see one to three inches of rain in a relatively shorepoint amount of time. the flash-flood watch encompassing much of the area, not just the southern zones along new jersey and delaware. the temperatures is 735, it's warm and sticky. 72 in allentown and 73 in millville right now. we're heading up to 91. him here's how the day will unfold, 81 degrees at 9:00 a.m. could see a shower or thunderstorm at any point. noon, 86 degrees, i think the thunderstorms will be plentiful and gusty later this theerch. 6:00 p.m., 87 and thunderstorm or two. we're not out of the woods, details on that in the seven

karlyn lane. >> i know you have more on that in skip pack. >> indeed i do. we have a chemical that caused a neighborhood to evacuate. let's go over to katherine scott live on the scene in skip pack township, good morning, katherine. >> reporter: authorities are trying to figure out what the chemical is. around 100 homes were evacuated last night due to the mysterious odor. an emergency shelter was set up, others are staying with friends and relatives. emergency crews and investigators have cleared out for now, but we are expecting crews on the scene later this morning. the county haz/mat, dep and epa are working to identify the chemical and the source. the township said there was high readings of a volatile organic compound in several homes. it appears to be coming from the sump pumps. a strong odor was reported at a

house on gorski lane. the fire company responded with the meters and the meters went into alarms so they going and they found it in every home. >> we had 1.something and our neighbor had # point something and to open the windows and leave the home.
