89 degrees, high of 90. it will be more humid and on the hot side this afternoon. 6:00 p.m., 86. this afternoon there's a chance of pop-up thunderstorm mainly north and west of philadelphia. if you're heading to the pool party remember sunscreen. noon temperature, 84. again, that high of 90 at 4:00 p.m. we have the possibility of strong storms coming up monday and tuesday as well from an approaching cold front, nydia, i'll have more on that coming up in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. >> overnight night, police in delaware are looking for a hit-and-run driver. the victim was a man in his 60s he nearly died in the street. he was hit while crossing west north pike at 11:30 last time. we checked overnight he is listed in critical condition. his name has not been released. delaware state police are looking for information that will lead to the driver and the vehicle involved. new jersey governor chris christie said president obama is

partly to blame for middle east unrest. the republican governor said obama has not spoken firmly and forcefully on israel's behalf. these remarks came as israel targeted institutions against hamas. now while speaking to the national governors' association, christie said israel is not sure they have america's full support like they used to. it's a failure of the obama presidency. he said organizations like hamas need to be dealt with and obama has not done so. governor christie is a rumored 2016 presidential candidate. the white house said that the president has offered to have the u.s. negotiate a cease-fire.

>> a septa bus driver is allegedly attacked now police are searching for the person who did it. the action cam was at 25th and lehigh as septa police responded to the call for help. 89 driver was operating the route 54 bus. there were other passengers on the bus at the time. police are investigating exactly what happened and why at this hour no arrests have been reported. the driver refused to be taken to the hospital. a girl who lost her parents and siblings in a gunman's rampage in texas is telling her story. cassidy had a bullet graze to the head before calling police. >> reporter: her entire family was taken away, but not her courageous spirit or that smile, 15-year-old cassidy was

surrounded by loved one, speaking out since her uncle in law murdered her siblings and parents. i'm thankful for all the people who are praying for me. >> 33-year-old ron haskill tied up his ex-sister in law including cassidy. only callousdy survived with the bullet graze to the head. she pretended to be dead. the girl was able to alert police and warn them the accused killer was heading for her grandparents. it's difficult to imagine how we'll ever move on. the best way is to concentrate on the live to cling to the hope of life that has emerged in this terrible darkness. >> reporter: in a houston court haskill collapsed twice as he heard the charges against him

wilmington and areas south of philadelphia, before too much longer. no lightning with this just yet. i could see that developing if it is still popping up as the sun gets higher above the horizon. that's it for precip. we have hazy sunshine beginning to build across the philadelphia international airport and areas around the city. looks like a mixture of sun and clouds as we roll through the day. a couple of highlights for the forecast. it's going to be humid, might be unsettled with occasional shower or thunderstorm. it's stormy on monday and tuesday as a cold front gets closer to us. meanwhile, in philadelphia, 72 degrees, the dewpoint is in the mid 60s, that's noticeably humid not oppressive. wind out of the south at 7 miles per hour. satellite and radar showing

boyds this precip -- besides this precipitation that popped up, is well out toward pittsburgh this will hold off until late this evening. the air is unstable enough for anything to pop up at any time. 71 degrees by 8:00 a.m. 81 by 11:00. 2:00 p.m., 88. the high will be a humid 90 degrees probably around 4:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m., 88 degrees and north and west of philadelphia, during the afternoon a shower or thunderstorm is possible. high temperatures warm everywhere. 89 in allentown, looks like we'll hit close to 09 in reading. 89 in wilmington. down the shore, 83. although it might feel rather humid at it is breezy today, too with winds as highs 10 to 20 miles per hour. if you're heading to the phillies, as am i. 80 degrees for the first pitch, 90 for the 9th inning.

we can't rule out a thunderstorm, but the chances are small. in the poconos an evening storm is more likely. 79 degrees is the forecasted high today. and down the shore we have a current ocean temperature in ac of 70. some of you will be stuck in the 60s in the ocean today. 83 degrees is the high on the beach it will be more humid than yesterday. tomorrow, we do have that front out to the west of us getting a little bit closer, it does look like during the afternoon and into the evening we have the potential of strong gusty thunderstorms that could produce drenching downpours and anywhere where you get more than one storm training across the area, flash flooding would be possible that's tomorrow and possibly tuesday, as well. depending on the timing of the front. 90 is the high, it's humid, we have a chance of pop-up thunderstorm most of them in the afternoon although we have that little shower right now by baltimore that looks like it's trying to head in toward wilmington. a hot, strong storm tomorrow,

there's sky 6's view of the ben franklin bridge. it's hazy, but sun will get ready to pop up are over the horizon before too much longer. i think it will break through the clouds a little bit as the morning goes on. on radar, storm tracker 6 live double scan is picking up showers no lightning with this just yet. it is pushing into western new castle county. looks like wilmington could be caught by this in the next 20 minutes or so. we'll see if it survives into south jersey and areas in philadelphia along the i-95. i'm beginning to check out action popping up around chester town the eastern shore of maryland. the better chance of precipitation is later today and tonight from cold front related precip that will be coming in through pennsylvania, but the atmosphere is humid and unstable enough where you could see something popping up before that. 72 in philadelphia.

>> for the first time in five years, people in burbank, illinois are dealing with major flooding. those who tried to drive through the high water got stuck and needed to be rescued. more rain is expected in the area today. >> david murphy in for accuweather. in our area, nothing like that. tomorrow we could have drenching downpours maybe tuesday, as well. you might have scenes like that, if you have enough of the cells going over any given area. right now there's hardly any rain out there at all. storm tracker 6 live double scan, we dry across the region. maryland and northern delaware, new castle county starting to see a shower popping in from the west. there's another little cell east of edge wood over the northern chesapeake bay that might come through, there's no lightning

precipitation poppings through. the main body of the precip is well north and west. the best chance of seeing that is later this evening, and north and west of philadelphia. in allentown that will be a northern and western area where a thunderstorm can't be ruled out. sun and clouds otherwise high of 89. it will feel a bit more humid to you than it was yesterday. same thing in the poconos, 79 is the high, an afternoon or evening thunderstorm possible. down the shore we can't rule out a shower popping through or thunderstorm. 79 on the beach at noon, high around 83 it will hold on or about through much of the afternoon hours it will be more humid and even though it's a mix of sun and clouds we'll call it a high uv index when the sun is breaking out. in philadelphia, a humid high of 90 degrees, sun and clouds,
