a 7-year-old autistic boy, and his 12-year-old sister is missing since last night. the children were left in the care of their elderly grandfather but within the mother returned home from work the children were not at home. police say that the children told their grandfather they were going to a playground at the decatur school at 9:00 last night. but he fell asleep and didn't realize they didn't return home. police and k-9 officers are searching for the children seen here in this picture, if you know of their whereabouts, are you urged to call police right away. new this morning, two people were rescued from a burning home from philadelphia's mantua section, a police sergeant says two district officers ran into the home and saved two people and others were edge to get out on their on. the fire broke out on the 3900 block of aston street, the debris in the home slowed firefighters making it hard

last month. the hotel and casino has only been open two years, they have $477 million in secure debt but only $9 million in cash. from our delaware newsroom, city council has voted to reduce the staff by 8, council says the 8 positions are currently vacant and will not affect fire response times the fire chief has publically denounced the cuts saying it would lead to house closures. delaware state has fired its chief medical examiner amid a scandal with tampering with evidence and criminal misconduct. authorities accuse him of using state resources for personal gain and miss managing the office.

actor comedian, tracy morgan is suing wal-mart, in connection with last month's crash on the new jersey turn pook, that seriously injured morgan and killed his friend. morgan's suit accuses wal-mart of negligence for not realizing the driver was awake for more than 24 hours, that say violation of new jersey law. the suit calls the suit unreasonable and the driver survived and is facing charges. an autopsy has failed to show what killed matt bendick his body was found in a room, he was the boyfriend of glee cast member becka tobin. >> he was here on some type of business. >> they are checking his credit card receipts to retrace his

steps, so far there are no signs of foul play, drug use or that he committed suicide. the medical examiner is doing more tests on his body. he owned nights clubs around the country. last year glee lost its star corey monteith. they are looking to cap the amount of money that public workers make when they retire without using sick days. steve sweeney is introducing a bill capping the amount to $15,000. in 2010, governor chris christie vetoed a bill saying he did not want to allow any payouts at all. the democratic candidate for pennsylvania governor toured factory and smoke to workers about his made in pennsylvania plan. he unveiled turns of models of baseball bats for professional players along with minor league,

the man accused of killing six members of his ex-wife's family collapsed in court yesterday. as the judge read some of the charges against ron haskell. he shot his wife's inlaws and four of their children. one survived the attack. >> they say he suffers from medical issues and is not taking

his medication. the man responsible for a deadly movie theater shooting, curtis reeves is charged with the murder of chad olson, he shot him in front of his wife because he didn't like olson texting in the movie theater, is he on house arrest until his trial. and is on gps monitoring. american airlines says a technical issue caused their plane to be money landed. the plane was in route from hawaii to guam. all passengers and crew members were briefly sheltered in a gym and later put on another flight and taken to honolulu. in massachusetts, a small plane landed on a high school athletic field. only the pilot was on the cessna and the mechanical problem cause the the plane to land not long

my twitter follower, neil was on r up on the track getting ready for the philadelphia marathon, he showed you how he was getting ready in garnet valley. we have a fair amount of clear skies opening up even in south jersey, where the cloud were thicker earlier. this sweep of clouds allows sunshine through as it rolls on in, in a little while.

control. >> reporter: thousands of people in the mid-atlantic states are struggling to recover from severe weather that pounded the region with rain and major flooding. >> people are running and taking shelter and stuff. >> the winds howling at 70 miles per hour. >> the wind literally came this way and pushed them across the street. >> it's inundation was severe at pennsylvania's hershey park enough water for people to float around and north harbor park was submerged as 3 inches of rain fell in 2 hours. at virginia beach 11 people were vured as the wind shredded homes and businesses, tossing this man's car like a toy. >> everything was just flying around and out west more of nature's fury, a wild fire in northwest washington state is burning out of control. fueled by strong winds and warm conditions. >> this is too close to home, it's been scary. >> the fire has burned an estimated 18,000 acres already

sharrie williams has the details. >> it sounds like a bomb went off. >> joe donahue lives in the building where the car crashed into one of the living rooms and heard and felt the impact crashing through. >> ran out and there was a lot of smoke and i told my wife to get out of the house. >> the 75-year-old woman that lives in one of the upstairs units was behind the wheel when it happened. that according to philadelphia police. donahue rushed in to help his neighbor. i knocked on the window and the door was locked and she was daysed from the airbag hitting her and i went in the backseat and crawled across and unlocked the door. >> the downstairs unit is heavily damaged and the woman that lived there was not home at the time of the crash. >> thank god my grandmom was not here because her couch literally sat in front of that window. >> family members tell me that that unit was undergoing

renovations and that this crash is setting that back. neighbors tell me before the crash the elderly woman was in the vehicle in the street. they say looking disoriented before she crashed into the home, police tell me the cause of crash is still under investigation. in northeast philadelphia, sharrie williams, channel 6 "action news." >> the search is on for a roxborough man that slipped out of a home after a standoff with police. the action cam is along the 400 block of del mar street, the man was involved with a fight with a woman and he fled to a home and barricaded himself inside. when police were able to get into the home they found a gun but the man was gone. is he described as a 45-year-old white man, 5'11" whering khaki pants. a man is sentenced after

brutalizing a girl and kills her brother. from first degree to burglary. he was arraigned on all accounts. >> i am relieved this man will finally pay for what he did to my son and daughter. >> police say that rivera broke into the victim's house and raped amber at knife point, she was just 12 years old at the time, that is when her 6-year-old brother dominic ran in screaming trying to defend her, rivera slashed both throats killing little dominic. usually "action news" does not idea if i victims of sexual assault but amber and her mother want to show the world they stand tall and she is a survivor. flds rapper meek mill was suppose to be on stage in washington, d.c., instead he is locked up in philadelphia. a judge sent the 27-year-old to jail for 3 to 6 months on a parole violation.

and his hobby is helping others. when his great grandfather pop pop bill was fighting cancer, cameron wanted to help, so he asked his dad if they would ride in the american cancer society's bikeathon. how do you say no to an 8-year-old that wants to do a good cause for the community. >> that year they rode 21 miles and cameron raised $21,000 for the cancer society. last year they roetd again and this year they will ride the bikeathon's longest zns, 101 miles, as for fundraising. >> this year i raise the $2,331, it feels good it's doing it for a good cause and helping people and with enough money we can find a cure. >> plus, this year he is supporting his great grandmother and his friend, alec, a fellow
