let's go to david murphy now and see what's going on. got some low cloud cover and i guess more storms on the way, right, david? >> we do actually. yesterday we did get a couple of heavy hitters that were very slow moving and as we described yesterday, dumped a lot of rain over some isolated areas and we're looking at the same thing now this morning and the areas west of philadelphia. south western chester county just getting the edge of this. most of the heavy stuff include something lightning and thunderstorm, this is a thunderstorm is pushing more or less towards the northeast and i think if you're in berks county and perhaps the western edge of chester county you have the best chance of seeing this later this morning. but you can see how slow it's moving. if you get caught under it it will be for awhile. # another shower looks like it might pop up over the delaware bay and get into parts of south jersey later on. as we take a look at the wide view on satellite and radar going to be a similar day today as yesterday. clouds, some occasional sunny breaks and at times there will be more instability related showers and thunderstorms

popping up and we'll of course give you the latest view on future track intera couple minutes. as you step outside the door, warm a-bit muggy, 71 in philadelphia, 72 in wilmington, 67 in allentown and trenton and down in sea isle. 72 in millville and gopher. as we head outside the door to catch the bus or just get the car started look at temperatures on or about 70 degrees between 6 o'clock and 8 o'clock and some of you could pick up a shower or a thunderstorm especially in those western areas. today's high is going to be 83. we'll hit that around 3 o'clock. just about any time today a pop-up shower or thunderstorm is possible. more of the same in the next couple of days, matt and tam. we'll have the latest on that coming up on accuweather, okay? >> okay. thank you david. breaking news. a woman is recovering after being bound and robbed in an apartment in the olney section of philadelphia. this happened around 1:45 in the morning on the 1300 block of west olney avenue. police say two suspects broke in and demanded cash. they proceeded to tie the

woman up and then they ransacked the apartment before they took off. find out exactly how the home invaders got into the apartment, that's coming up in a live report at 5:00 a.m. and also new this morning, two young boys in south jersey are being charged for the disturbing death of a pet. "action news" reporter erin o'hearn is live in the satellite center with more on o'hearn is live in the good morningism good morning. this is a disturbing story not only because of the violent nature of the crime but the two young boys being charged with mutilating a neighbor's rabbit are both under the age of 10. now f-the burlington county humane police say back on may 21st. the loppered rabbit's hut was damaged and the pet was missing. its body was later found discarded in a nearby creek in the mobile section of southampton township, new jersey. this was a beloved pet and it's easily recognizable with those long floppy ears and police are still trying to figure out exactly why these

young boys would carry out such a hideous act. >> just believe it was possible a random act, possibly retaliation, that is still under investigation right now but right now the two suspect. >> reporter: and the new jersey state police are also investigating this crime because of their young ages. the boys names will not be released. the tentative court date is set for june 24th. tam. >> erin thank you. firefighters were on the scene battling a shuttle bus fire at philadelphia international airport. flames shot up from the front of the bus and quickly engulfed the entire vehicle. only the driver was on board at the time and he was able to get out unhurt. all arrival roadways around terminal e were temporarily shut down while crews extinguished those flames. authorities do not suspect anything criminal went on. >> happening today, transportation officials in delaware will hold a briefing on the measures taken to repair the i-495 bridge. deldot says some of the tilted columns are returning to their

original alignment since a dirt pile below the span was removed. crews also plan to conduct an under water inspection this week and install additional underground monitors to detect future shifts in the soil. you can get a handle on the traffic situation before you even get in your car. use our 6abc news app to check traffic with current traffic maps that include delay paths plus live highway camera feeds. the app is free for apple and android devices. >> new details emerging about the crash that critically injured tracy morgue and killed his friend. >> there's a terrible accident. the car flipped. it's on its side. >> two vehicles and a wal-mart truck. >> multiple 911 calling were released from concerned drivers who passed that wreck saturday night on the new jersey turnpike. investigators now say kevin roper the driver of the wal-mart truck that hit morgan's limo bus had not

slept for 24 hours. roper is set to appear in court on wednesday. morgan is expected to be in the hospital for weeks with a broken nose leg and cracked ribs. a serial burglar is wreaking havoc on some businesses in center city. investigators say the suspect has hit three times and each of his crimes was caught on surveillance video. you see him here. one of his break-ins took place in the offices of springboard media at 13 and sansom. he's made off with more than $4,000 worth of electronics. authorities are hoping someone will recognize him and give them a call. happening today, a vote in new jersey could bring the sixers over the bridge into camden. the new jersey economic development authority must approve $82 million in tax credits for the project. the sixers want to build a practice facility on the waterfront between the aquarium and susquehanna bank center. the site should be ready by 2016 if the team breaks ground this fall. the sixers would still play their games at the wells fargo center in south philadelphia. >> time for your first look at

business on this tuesday morning. a new report says for closure filings fell nationally but here in our area the picture not so rosie. housing data source reality track says foreclosures were up 37 percent year to year in new jersey and in the philadelphia area which includes camden and wilmington, filings were up 5 percent. amtrak is creating its own high speed why if i network for passengers on its northeast corridor lines. the network would offer significant boost in speeds. amtrak hopes to test the network sometime in the winter. the dow and s & p closed at record highs again on wall street. stock futures are trading lower right now suggesting a lower open at the opening bell. summer starts on june 21st. for many college students the season means working an unpaid internship. not in silicon valley. tech interns can make up to $7,000 per month and that's not including perks. facebook will even pay your rent out there.

>> 4:41. more storms are coming. >> yes, they're going to be spotty each and every day this week. i think towards thursday friday and we might see more i think towards thursday storm tracker 6 shows you while most of area is dry those who are seeing the heavy stuff are really getting pounded and most of that is to the west of philadelphia. as we go closer you can see how this is creeping its way toward the north more or less and maybe a little bit of a shift over toward the east. in a moment we'll explore future tracker 6's vision of the future but for now a lot of thunderstorms pushing into southern lancaster county. if you're down in southwestern chester county you're starting to get some light to moderate rain and you may actually get this thunderstorm creeping up 92 in your direction on that western half of chester county. obviously reading and berks county also with a chance of some of this and we're seeing some lightning and hearing some thunder out to the west of reading and also to the south and west of southern chester county. if you're in wilmington, yeah, you might get clipped by some

of this am i also want to leave you with that wider view because there's a second cell that looks like it might be falling apart. it is heading out to the delaware bay and may upon into parts of cumberland county this morning. as we take a look outside we do have cloudy skies and a little bit of mist in the lights over the airport. there's the chance of fog developing over the next couple hours in parts of the region and we're already tracking on some of our traffic cameras a little bit of that showing up in some of the northern suburbs. temperatures 71 degrees right now, it is muggy. the dewpoint, look at that, 66. anything over 60 is considered humid so that's real sticky air out there. winds out of the east at 7 miles per hour. future trackerfuture tracker 6 p those storms. it's possible that as we go through 8 o'clock we might start to see some of these develop in as close as philadelphia and back in through wilmington and in through parts of south jersey, lehigh valley could also be affected by this before the end of the rush. and then we get up to the midday hour and it's spotty precipitation. the rest of the afternoon very similar to yesterday.

not everybody sees rain but some of you will get a shower or a thunderstorm and in some cases it could provide us with some heavy downpours. as we go up to the dinner hour, more of the same, spotty precipitation here or there. if you happen to get hit with something it's going to show you down on the roads. by 11 o'clock things are settling down a bit well after sundown, that convection and instability starts to go away. 71 degrees by 8 o'clock. it will feel pretty humid through the morning and through the afternoon. 77 by 11:00, 81 by 2 o'clock and 5 o'clock and your high today is 83, very similar to yesterday and a pop-up shower or thunderstorm possible just about any time. high temperatures across the region today, everybody in the 80's away from the shore. down the shore you'll be in the mid 70's today. your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast shows a high of 83 this afternoon, warm and muggy and occasionally a passing shower or drenching thunderstorm. wednesday still humid, 79. another chance of a spotty shower or a thunderstorm and then thursday and friday we're calling for humid conditions

and showers and occasional thunderstorms as well by friday, i think there's a real good chance we see a little bit more of that. in fact some more widespread heavy rain is possible. we're still looking at pretty quick improvement after a morning shower on saturday and sunday father's day looking good with lots of sun. >> and a reminder 6abc on gma week goes on. cecily tynan will be backfilling in for ginger zee who got married over the weekend. you'll see adam joseph later this week. watch every morning. new on "action news" a greyhound bus driver has been put on leave after a passenger near the front of the bus filmed him texting while driving. a woman riding from pittsburgh to columbus ohio says she shot the video while the driver appears to be on a highway. the woman says the bus was full of passengers and at some points the driver had the phone out on his lap. the bus driver has been placed on leave and an investigation has been launched.

>> also new on "action news" a family from utah visiting san francisco lost a two year old to a freak accident. police say a 6-foot tall dolphin statue fell on kasem shelton at fisherman's wharf. he suffered internal injuries and died at the hospital. the store that owns the statue was cited for having its statues displayed beyond a blueline. the port authority owns that section of the sidewalk. the first audit of the veterans' administration has been released since accusations of patient mistreatment and coverup surfaced and officials have pegged philadelphia's center for further review. the audit reveals the city's veteran medical center had the most new enrollees in the state who waited as long as 60 days for an appointment. more than 1100 veterans spent two months waiting to be seen. the average waiter time was a little better. that's the average, about 43 days. 94 percent of patients are

you can see it's foggy out there in some places this morning. right now you're taking a look at 95 near girard. look out for overnight construction in those northbound lanes between girard and allegheny avenue. now the two left lanes are getting by without minimal delay and the work crew should be out of there shortly. let's see what things look like at route 309 near five points in montgomery county. they've also got a little bit of fog as well but it's not too bad but look out for the low visibilitys in some spots but again the fog is not widespread. matt. >> thank you, tam. hello everyone. it's tuesday morning. it is 4:50 time for your travel forecast. we had some unstable weather in the northeast and it's going to cause some problems if you have a flight. checking the faa delay screen, though, it is early. not a lot of flights leave at this time of day and as you see we have green all across country. so, let's check the airports. that will give you some problems likely today if you are flying and we're posting all the ones in our area, the northern atlantic, boston, that's logan international.
