others injured. new overnight a water main break causes damage and closes a philadelphia intersection. and the california chrome falls short in his bid for horse racing's triple crown he was injured during that race. outside we go, meteorologist chris sowers with the accuweather forecast and outside is a good place to be today. >> reporter: yeah, it's not bad out here, shirleen. it's a little bit muggier than yesterday, but with that being said it's nice and comfortable. temperatures are in the 60s. we're seeing sunshine. 63 in philadelphia. millville, 63. sea isle city, 65 degrees, we'll zoom on down to the jersey shore. seaside heights, 65. beach haven 65. a light breeze out of the south/southeast this morning. waves are light, generally less than two feet. look at the ocean temperature, 67 degrees in atlantic city.

on the boards they are showing an air temperature of 66. lots of sunshine. ocean city, 65. sea isle city, there's that 65. cape may, 66. wildwood, 64. water temperature off the coast of cape may is now up to 71. so we're getting there. satellite along with action radar shows high, thin clouds out of the west. this will be a bright and sunny day, we'll have a filter upstairs unlike yesterday. sunny skies by 9:00 a.m., a few high, thin clouds, nice morning. 76 degrees is the temperature at that point. lunchtime, 84. lots of sunshine, it will be pleasant. you'll notice the humidity coming up a little bit, it will not feel as nice as yesterday, but still on the comfortable side. 3:00 p.m., sun and clouds and warm, 86 degrees, we're shooting for a high of 77 today. what's ahead -- 87 today.

what's ahead. it turns warmer this week. you'll notice the humidity tomorrow and tuesday, that will lead to showers and thunderstorms. as a matter of fact every single day of this week of showers and thunderstorms. if you have outdoor activities lands you'll have to keep an eye to the sky. when i come back in just a few minutes we'll talk about that and have the seven-day forecast. >> developing this morning, philadelphia police say they are investigating a deadly road rage shooting. the gunman shot a man and a woman on the 500 block of west residential in feltonville last night. 43-year-old man was killed. a 31-year-old woman is in critical condition. police say the suspect is in custody stay with us with "action news" for the latest on this deadly road rage shooting. comedian tracy morgan is still in the fight of his life. he was rushed into intensive care following a deadly crash on

the new jersey turnpike. the driver of the tractor-trailer that hit morgan's limo setting off a chain-reaction wreck is arrested an charged. police say he may have fell asleep at the wheel. among the offenses taking the life of morgan's friends who played a role in morgan's comedy. kenneth moten has more. >> reporter: this was the scene after superstar funny man trace where morgan and his friends were pulled out of the limo bulls on the jersey turnpike. the driver of a walmart tractor-trailer fell asleep in cranberry township on saturday. the 30 rock actor was seriously injured. his long time friend and comedy writer james, jimmy mack, mcnair was killed. 6 vehicles were involved in the chain-reaction crash 15 miles north of trenton.

67 degrees is the present temperature reading. trent, 63. 68 in beach haven. wildwood, 66. lancaster, cooler, 59. reading, 60 and wilmington 63. the only difference this morning from what we were seeing yesterday morning is the fact that these dewpoints have come up a little bit. you say under 60 it's quite comfortable. now we're in the low 60s. even south jersey and delaware showing 61. on our dewpoint scale we're slightly humid. it's comfortable, not as pleasant as it was this morning. i should not have said nearly, it is still nice out there, but not as enjoyable. this will go down later this afternoon only to come back as we get into the overnight hours and into monday and tuesday, monday and tuesday it will be sticky out there. several clusters of showers and thunderstorms out there, one

across the great lakes and one over dallas. each one will swing east over the next 48 hours or so. we'll time it out for you on future tracker. later this afternoon, probably notice more in the way of cloud cover out there than what we saw yesterday. again, we'll see a decent moon of sunshine. after midnight, the showers develop north and west of the city. the lehigh valley and the poconos both locations have the best chance of a couple of showers and quick rumble of thunder or two. we get into tomorrow morning there could be isolated showers and we catch a break in the afternoon and more showers erupt around 5:00, 6:00, 7:00 p.m. there's a threat of shower or thunderstorm in the morning and again, by afternoon. the pattern this week looks very warm and sticky. the humidity increases tomorrow and tuesday. along with the humidity comes that chance, several chances of showers and thunderstorms. not only the systems i showed
