talking about this noon. a school's escalating debt and operating cost combined with a dwindling enrollment combined with economic pressures. towson catholic says it is closing its doors. eyewitness news and gigi barnett are live outside the high school. gigi. >> reporter: good afternoon, don. it is not the first school the archdiocese had to close but it is the first high school. they say they just don't have have the money and parents are scrambling to find a solution. >> reporter: three catholic schools are already set to close, the fourth, towson catholic. parents and students received the word in an e-mail last night. all morning long, they rallied in front of the school upset about its closing. >> we are very saddened by the way the school was closed. we certainly understand economic conditions and the way economy is and enrollment is low, but i believe there were other ways to proceed. >> reporter: archdiocese of baltimore says the problem is deep debt and low enrollment. last year 81 students didn't

enroll and tuition is the school's only source of income. >> when you multiply those students by $9500, you realize what a financial burden on the parish and the school and they don't have the money to keep the school open? >> reporter: school has notified alumni like carmelo anthony and dante green, the school says the debt is too deep. the school says they know it is the direct result of the economy. it has $160,000 in unpaid tuition and $650,000 in a budget deficit. of the 244 students it had in june it grand waited 59. back to you, don, -- graduated 59. back to you, don. >> thank you, it was founded in 1922. more answers today in what happened to two teenagers just before they were found on the light rail tracks in baltimore county. sally is live in the newsroom with what the mta saying this noon. good afternoon, sally. >> reporter: good afternoon, mary and everybody. transit officials say a video camera on one of the light rail

trains show those two teens were walking on the tracks. kyle wankmiller and connor peterson both 17 years old was found laying inside the lutherville tracks on sunday. it is believed they heard the train coming from behind them but didn't move out of the way because they thought it would be on the other track. the train wasn't able to use the other track because a guardrail was somehow placed in the middle of it. both teens were killed. mary, back to you. >> sally, thank you. police had been investigating if the teens were assaulted somewhere else and dragged on to the light rail track. putting a face with the name. for the first time, we are seeing the photo 569-year-old shot in the head last week in southwest baltimore. she is raven wyatt. her mother is telling our media partner "the baltimore sun" that she is still in the hospital and her condition has stabilized. police are charging 17-year-old lamont davis in the shooting and he was trying to shoot at someone else with whom he earlier had been fighting. he seemed to be happy and did not want a divorce, the

name the words of a close friend of steve mcnair. the woman found dead near sahel kazemi said that he was going to leave his house and marry her. the friend tells a newspaper that is not true. they are trying to determine if kazemi shot mcnair and then killed herself. federal investigators are hard at work. lawyers are reviewing countless documents and michael jackson's family continues to grieve. and it hasn't been 24 hours since the star-studded memorial ceremony brought the world to tears. there are still many unanswered questions including where jackson's three young children will go. terri okita has more for wjz from los angeles. >> reporter: michael jackson's family still hasn't revealed where the pop icon will be laid to rest. one possibility is jackson's beloved neverland ranch, but legal hurdles stand in the way. >> i am hoping and praying he gets buried here. that would be awesome.

>> reporter: if jackson is buried at neverland, fans see it turning into a popular tourist destination like graceland. >> i think the fans would like it a lot. >> reporter: as the world paid tribute to the king of pop, his death certificate was released without any cause of death. officials say that will not come until a few weeks when toxicology tests are completed. most of the jackson family, including the singer's three children are in seclusion at the family compound in encino after the emotional sendoff. >> daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. >> reporter: in his will, jackson made clear he wanted 11- year-old paris michael and her two siblings to remain with his mother, kathryn. but debbie rowe, the mother of the two older children may seek custody. a guardianship hearing is scheduled for monday. >> you really don't want to traumatize these kids anymore. my guess is they will remain with kathryn jackson. >> reporter: while thundershowerses around los angeles and the world open

strong words from chinese leaders this noon. they are promising executions as they try to crush deadly riots, the ethnic clashes have been going on for several days, the man at the helm of the communist party in this region of china plans to execute those involved. so far 156 people have been killed. another 1100 have been injured. right now the world is under a cyber attack, and it is even affecting some top u.s. government agencies and the hacking appears to be coming from north korea. investigators say it starts by infecting the computers with virus. then ordering them to visit major web sites and causing them to crash. the u.s. secret service and the treasury department web sites are among those affected. sex, lies and a money

trail. a pastor in minnesota is being forced to step down after he admits to an affair with an exotic dancer. but that's not all. the pastor mark offgarden said he cheated on his wife with a dancer for three years and when he tried to stop the relationship he says she tried to extort $25,000 from him. his congregation soon found out. >> people do make mistakes. i understand that. but pastors are held to a higher standard. and it is always the role of the pastor to know the appropriate boundaries and to maintain those boundaries. >> the dancer now charged with felony extortion. it is not clear if the pastor will face any charges for possibly paying for sex. in south florida, the search is on for two girls accused of stealing a puppy from a pet shop. check out the surveillance video from a store in deerfield beach. one of the girls putting the 4- month-old puppy in the shirt.

welcome back, everybody. on this beautiful day. i want to show you at noon we are only at 77 degrees outside, but north wind coming in is bringing our dew point down to 48 degrees. that is just incredible for this time of year. quite often it is in the 60s pushing 70, and that's why it feels so uncomfortable outside, but today a beautiful one out there. as far as the next few days ago, this is what we are thinking overall around the area. basically temperatures are comfortable right now and that will continue to be the case as we move through the area today. we have -- okay, i am trying to get through this, everybody, but i am having a problem with the computer. i want to show you -- [ laughter ] -- that it is not showing you. it is very comfortable outside right now. we all know that. the changes that are going to start to happen are on thursday. maybe some additional clouds around. a warm front is coming our way that will bring some warmer air. as we head toward the weekend, we are going to warm it up out here. temperatures rounding out in

it is possible. a common flu drug may not protect us have the h1n1. health watch reporter kellye lynn has more. >> the drug we are talking about is tamiflu. u.s. health officials are stepping up cases to see if people are resistant against tamiflu, the drug is used for the virus also known as swine flu. a teenager was diagnosed with a resistant strain last month. the teenager has recovered. the obama administration is wanting tougher step to prevent e-coli and salmonella contamination.
