>> brought the lombardi trophy off the plane at philadelphia international airport today. they showed it off to a group of fans who wanted a glichls mpse e super bowl winners. the entire city will get a chance to see them thursday morning. the eagles parade of champions will start at broad in south philadelphia and head down broad to city hall and finally moves down the parkway before finishing at the art museum. joined now live along the route today in center city. hey, aaron. >> reporter: hey, erin, plans are in place, the city is getting ready. see the no stopping, no parking signs already if place. over here, too, as well, you can see some of the barricades. they were out here last night. they will be out here again on thursday to help control crowds. this is certainly setting up to be a record-breaking day. >> you know we beat tom brady! >> reporter: some of the most

loyal fans stayed to the very end this afternoon to welcome home the eagles at the nova care training facility. a few hours earlier, though, the area was mobbed with overjoyed fanatics like akesha jones still dancing. she flew in from dallas to be here and wants the celebration to go on for days. >> new york might never sleep, but south philly did not go to sleep last night. >> i'm definitely an eagles guy. >> reporter: it's all about the parade on thursday. officers tied up no stopping signs along the route on broad street. the barricades are also visible. ready for record-breaking crowds to descend on the city. septa getting the strategy ready as well. told nbc 10 it will be similar to when the pope visited philadelphia. it win consolidate some routes. she doesn't believe anyone will damage businesses like what happened last night when a few took the celebration too far.

airlines terminal as fans touched down from minneapolis. the super bowl was an emotional experience for some fans like one dad who got to see the birds win with his young son. >> because of what -- the most amazing thing i ever felt in my life. especially with him. >> now most of the fans we spoke to today are feeling pretty good about the birds being able to repeat next season. the super bowl euphoria will not be wearing off any time soon for philadelphia fans. it is pure elation for eagles nation. whether they are reveling on broad street, buying gear in the northeast, or greeting players at the airport and the nova care complex. tonight nbc 10's aundrea cline-thomas shows us how the super bowl is giving new meaning to the city of brotherly love. >> look -- >> reporter: buck jones painted his van back when andy reid was the eagles head coach. >> i suffered through the chip

cline-thomas, nbc 10 news. >> well, the president tweeted his congrats to the eagles last night. tonight he talked about the fact that no one took a knee during the national anthem. calling it a mark of unity. >> because we're all in this together, we're one team, one people, and one family, and we're saluting one great american flag and everybody stood up yesterday. there was nobody kneeling at the beginning of the super bowl. we've made a lot of improvements, haven't we? that's a big improvement. >> but three eagles players including one who protesting during the national anthem this season say they plan to skip a championship team tradition. malcolm jenkins, chris long and torrey smith said they plan to skip the white house visit citing their opposition to the president. meanwhile, local immigration activists have started a petition usurging the entire te to boycott the trip to d.c. we spoke with an activist from

>> it will be chilly. chilly all day today. brisk wind. believe it or not, we made it to 38 in philadelphia, but that was very, very early this morning. after that, temperatures just fell. right now we sit at 27 in philadelphia. 8 for mt. pocono. take a look at wildwood at 26. wilmington, 25. mt. holly, 22. pottstown, you're at 18 this hour. now, the feels-like a different story out there. it feels much colder, felt like the 20s all day today. feels like 22. that's the windchill in philadelphia. the windchill in mt. pocono, 3 below zero. we're looking at blue bell at 21. we're looking at atlantic city at 13. rehoboth beach feels like 27 degrees. so we're going to start to level off here shortly and start to see temperatures climb before dawn. nothing on our doppler radar out there. everything is quiet. so tomorrow, you can expect 42 in philadelphia. 39 in the suburbs. 38 in the lehigh valley. 43 along south jersey, and 42 along the jersey shore. and 44 in delaware. clouds will increase tomorrow

[ closing bell ] the dow closed down 1,175 points. wiping out all of the gains it made so far this year. this follows the 600-point drop on friday. now, at one point today, the dow lost nearly 1,600 points. that was the largest drop in one day in the dow's history. still, financial experts say this might be a good thing. >> the long-term investor, you would welcome opportunities like this because this correction shakes the trees a little bit, brings prices back down, makes stocks, you know, more reasonable levels to invest in. >> today's selling spree came on

county man into the spotlight. j.t. wandered into the crowd at the end of his performance. >> thank you. >> and he ended up right next to the owner of a king of prussia pizza shop. see him there on the right-hand side of your screen. nbc 10's brandon hudson shows us how fate landed him in the view of millions of viewers around the world. ♪ got this feeling in my body >> reporter: look closely and you'll see a king of prussia pizza shop owner having the time of his life at the super bowl. a moment seen by millions watching the halftime show on nbc 10. wi and one tony captured on this cell phone. yes, that's juster timberlake singing and dancing in the aisle next to him. >> i tell you what, everybody was on their feet, they was dancing, they were singing along with him. it was crazy. >> reporter: his cameo almost didn't happen. tony told us he and his nephew had nose bleed seats but they scored an upgrade closer to the field. security told him he would be in the show seconds before it

happened. >> big dude with a red tie comes on, goes, he's going to come up here, make room, don't touch him. >> reporter: as soon as tony found out he was in the halftime show, he wanted to get that moment in a picture and get it framed. it didn't take long. as soon as he walked in the door this afternoon, he saw this. that's tony. that's justin timberlake. >> too funny. >> reporter: tony and his family saw the framed photos when he returned to his pizza shop, ange angelo's, today. it's where he also saw his halftime appearance for the first time during our nbc 10 newscast. there you are right there. >> i thought it was unbelievable. >> reporter: tony's daughters say their dad's appearance was the talk of their school. >> people came up to me as soon as i came to school and they were like, i saw your dad on tv! >> reporter: although it's a memory tony capone won't forget -- he said it's still second to witnessing the eagles win their first super bowl. >> this morning was like maybe 5:00, i woke up, wow, did that really happen? >> reporter: in king of prussia,

brandon hudson, nbc 10 news. a south jersey couple scored a big win on super bowl sunday. jacqueline and chris welcome their baby boy last night. they were at a friend's house watching the game when jacqueline was rushed to the hospital. the couple says everything happened so quickly, but their son's name was picked out weeks ago. >> she bet me back in october that if the eagles wept to the super bowl and won, that his name could be carson. >> and carson was born. and just 30 minutes, he weighed 5 pounds, 8 ounces. the couple calls carson their mi miracle baby. jacqueline is a cancer survivor and doctors weren't sure if she could get pregnant. send i yous your celebratio pictures and videos wit with #wewantit or upload them to the nbc 10 app. we're expecting dry conditions for the eagles parade

on thursday. first, we're tracking snow and freezing rain. first alert meteorologist tammy souza is joining us. >> it's going to be ugly before we get to thursday with all the fun. let's go step by step through this. this is what you can expect. tonight, high thin clouds drifting through. wednesday, an icy morning, snow, perhaps some freezing rain then we'll see it transition all to rain. places like the poconos could pick up a half a foot of snow. we could see several inches in the upper pennsylvania suburbs. so this is something worth watching tomorrow morning. we're actually going to be issuing a first alert. so watch for bill henley to set that out for you and time everything out for your wednesday. we'll fine tune it throughout the day tomorrow and be all ready to go. now on thursday, it's going to be chilly for the parade weather. we are going to see temperatures similar to today. so if you're going do be out there all day for the parade, you need to bundle up. the weekend is going to be on the warm side but it's going to be a soggy one with a chance of rain both days. doppler radar, nothing is moving

through the sky. a peaceful night here. there's a system making its way through the ohio at this point and could bring a dusting of snow to parts of the lehigh valley. mainly the poconos for tomorrow. the rest of the area will see increasing clouds. now, behind it, see the system diving through denver. that's the one we're going to be watching very closely for early wednesday morning. this could make for a very nasty commute which is why we want you to be prepared for what's going to go on on wednesday morning. it could be a pretty rough commute. i'll walk you through it. we are looking at temperatures that are overnight going to thaw a little bit more then start to climb earlier than normal. winds are going to be turning more to the south. here's that little system making its way through the ohio valley tomorrow morning. just a dusting of snow across the poconos. then we end up with a mix of sun and clouds tomorrow. temperatures tomorrow may be into the low 40s. so we're looking for a little bit of a warmup. seasonal warmup. look at wednesday morning. here comes the next system. rain for southern delaware and south jersey. look at the pink, that's that icy mix.

there's that snow. as we go into the morning commute, we could have snow across philadelphia. icy mix across parts of south jersey. and then we'll see this all transition to rain. we'll get a break at about 9:30 in the morning. here comes the rain. heavy rain at times as we go above freezing. temperatures in delaware and south jersey could be in the 50s. philadelphia could see the 40s. it will all be out of here late wednesday night. just in time for the parade, but cooler air comes in on thursday for the parade. how much are we looking at for snow? maybe 6 inches in the poconos. less than an inch in philadelphia. nothing for south jersey or southern delaware. maybe a couple inches in the upper pennsylvania suburbs. how much ice? well, we could see .2 of an inch perhaps falling along with that snow in the poconos. maybe a tenth of an inch in some places in the pennsylvania suburbs. so that's why we're concerned about icy roads. and how much rain? look at this, we could see over an inch of rain in philadelphia. the same for much of the area. little bit less as you get into southern delaware. and also south jersey. so here's your parade forecast. once we get past all that on wednesday, we're going to be

looking at temperatures in the upper 20s at 11:00 when the parade starts. 31 at noon. 34 for the festivities with partly sunny skies and breezy conditions in the afternoon. your ten day on 10, 42 tomorrow. 43 on wednesday. but that's in the afternoon. we start below freezing in the morning with that mix. could make for really a horribly icy commute. 34 on thursday for the victory parade. it will be breezy there. 41 on friday. and then we get into 45 saturday with a wintery mix changing to rain and 54 with rain on sunday. erin? well, no eagles fan in the world could keep calm after that super bowl win. especially not this guy. >> yes! yes! >> we talked to the sportscaster whose super bowl reaction is going viral tonight. e-a-g-l-e-s, eagles!

more than 1,200 miles s th philadelphia, a sports anchor found out live on the air that his team, the eagles, won, and he lost it. >> is okokay. what? they won! they won! yes! yes! >> hear him breathing there? we skyped with the sports anchor, harold, who told us he's been an eagles fan since he was 3 years old. his father grew up in belmar, new jersey, he says he couldn't watch the final seconds of the game because he had to go on set for live sports update. >> i had no idea. i was -- there's no tvs in our studio. so i was just completely left in the dark. and everybody knew i was a nervous wreck at the time. so, when i went out there, i didn't know, but then i saw a final popped out, then you see the rest of the video. >> he says he is ecstatic for the birds, just not so excited that his reaction is now going viral.
