storm free according to bill on this tuesday, october 14th. let's get to bill henley with his first alert forecast. good morning, bill. >> we won't see storms but clouds overhead and we have seen some areas of fog as warm air pushes into the area and temperatures are warmer this morning. we are in the 60s right now. some areas more than ten degrees warmer than yesterday. we've seen some low clouds, but, actually, they've cleared in the last hour and a half. this is an improving view from center city from high atop the comcast center. just light fog from reading and two-mile visibility there. we saw dense fog to start with in mt. pocono and was down to a quarter mile visibility and now reporting half a mile visibility and the fog has disappeared at the airport in northeast philadelphia now and visibility at seven miles. look at the temperatures. much warmer. 60s from the pocono mountains to the city to the shore. a nice, warm start and a warm up in store. but clouds overhead and they'll take a little time to clear out and any fog will disappear and we'll start in the 60s at the

bus stop this morning and suburbs at 60 degrees and the middle 60s in center city and then sunshine takes over and look at the temperatures this afternoon near 80 degrees. katy zachary is watching the roadway and has a clear view right now, katy? >> a clear view and fog is lifting which is good news for drivers but 95 at cottman an accident that just came into our system. the on ramp to 95 north, an accident. it's slowing things, slowing drivers as they're making their way to 95 north and moved over to sh shoulder and you can work your way around that. add for extra time. in northeast philadelphia, crews are on the scene after they put out a fire at vista street near tauro torres dale avenue. moving into new jersey, a live look at the 42 freeway northbound. the northbound side and tail lights are southbound and traffic is moving pretty good. it's not tying anything up.

the fog we have been watching all morning long, this is a live look at 22 right at airport road where you can see the fog has got an lot better in the last little bit. back to breaking news we have been following in the tacony section of philadelphia. jesse gary is joining us live on a house fire that damaged three homes this morning. jesse, what else can you tell us? >> vai, that fire also injured one philadelphia firefighter who was taken to the hospital in station condition suffering from heat exhaustion. i got that from the deputy chief and reported all questions to lieutenant peterson who was here with me now. what else can you tell me about this fire? do you have an idea on how it started? >> being investigated by the fire marshal's office. what i do know at 4:14 this morning they arrived on the 4700 block of vista street and encountered heavy fire on the first and second floor. put all companies in service and the fire was able to put under

control at 5:08 and roughly it took about 46 minutes. >> did the fire spread to neighboring homes? i heard residents saying they heard screams saying get out. was it spreading? >> three homes right now have been affected. the neighboring dwellings and the fire dwelling and at this point we know that nine civilians have been displaced and being tended to by red cross and they have a location across the street right now. >> lieutenant, thank you very much for that information. that update and we'll have another coming up for you in 30 minutes. live in tacony, jesse gary, nbc 10 news. we're also following breaking developments. a u.n. worker has died from the virus. the victim was a 56-year-old man from sudan and stationed in liberia when he got sick and sent to germany for treatment. the hospital said he received intensive medical procedures but he did die last night. the world health organization is now calling the ebola outbreak

the most severe akcute emergenc in modern times. urging hospitals to make sure they're prepared this comes after nina pham a nurse in texas after treating a patient there. a new task force in delaware county that would help hospitals in our area respond to any potential ebola cases. the threat of ebola two hospital workers has nurses in our area raising concerns. the pennsylvania nurse's union tells nbc 10 that they're worried that not every hospital is ready to handle. they have not been consistent across the board and that put had the people at risk. >> i don't want to be alarmist, but i think we really need to be sure that if these patients come to our hospitals across the state that all of us are able to take care of them without injury or harm to anybody. to other patients, to other

visitors and to ourselves for those of us who take care of patients. >> they're demanding basic preparedness at all hospitals and also calling for a single region-wide treatment center that would handle acute ebola patients. it's 6:05 right now. new from overnight a man in north philadelphia died after being shot 30 times. police say the victim was sitting with a woman when two men approached and open fire. the woman was hit in the ankle but will be all right. police do not yet know why the man was targeted and they're still looking for the shooters. this morning delaware county detectors are looking to see if it is the work of an arsonist. three people were hurt, including a firefighter yesterday on the 200 block of south springfield road. the homeowner stepped out to run an errand and returned to find his house in flames and he thinks the fire was set on purpose. the red cross is helping three people who are displaced. and in bucks county, investigators have ruled a fire at a dance studio there as arson. nbc 10 first told you about this

as breaking news yesterday morning. it started around 4:30 at the bucks county dance center in ben salem and also a home inside that building. nobody was there, though. investigators are trying to find the person that set that fire. police in northeast philadelphia are trying to figure out why the owner of a barbershop was gunned down inside his business last night. the victim was found around 9:00 in the evening. he was shot four times and is in critical condition. the shooting happened after the shop was closed, no arrests had been made. happening today, two men charged with murdering a couple that hired them to do yard work are scheduled to appear in court. accused of robbing and strangling the victims back in july. the bodies were found inside their home on north sprangler street in strawberry mansion. police say the victims had hired the suspects to clean up their property and the couple had known ballard since he was a child. and new this morning, combatting crime. in response to resident

concerns, the 15th police district is adding officers to expand their coverage across several neighborhood. take a look at the area we're talking about here. the 15th is the largest in philadelphia that stretches from hunting park avenue north to ron street and from the delaware river to roosevelt boulevard. this includes a frankfort, tacony sections of philadelphia. most of the crime takes place on the southern end of the district, but more than two dozen officers, many from recently graduated cadet class call it home and it is making a difference. >> i noticed that the calls for service and people aren't waiting as long for the police to show up on assignment. normally in the past, it would take us an hour or two to get to some of those locations and now it's win minutes. >> the department is trying to hire 400 officers for next year citywide and they're hoping some of them will go to the 15th district. it appears the city of

wilmington is getting ready to launch a homicide unit within the police department there. this comes after an outcry from community groups and reaction to a growing number of murders in wilmington. reports that several detectives and a supervisor will make up the new homicide unit. and the fire department is growing its ranks. this afternoon, trent officials will swear in 12 new firefighters and that means 224 firefighters will now be serving in the department. today the city is also promoting members of its emergency medical services, including its first african-american female captain. now to decision 2014, today is the last day for new jersey voters to register for the november general election. now, if you haven't registered yet, you can go to the county clerk's office until tonight. now, here's a look at some of the big decisions voters will face in new jersey. there's the u.s. senate race between democrat cory booker and jeff bell and all 12 of the state's congressional seats are

also up for grabs. there are two ballot questions, by the way, including one to overhaul the state's bail system and another would dedicate business tax revenue to open space. got a warm up under way and that has brought in additional moisture and led to some areas of fog. some spots are seeing some thick fog right now, but summer-like heat today will get rid of the fog and we'll see a lot of sunshine. 80 degrees this afternoon. but storms tomorrow will bring cooler weather for the end of the week. some of those storms will be strong. right now fog in the pocono mountains and 63 in trenton with mostly cloudy skies and clouds over wilmington at 65 degrees. the wind is blowing and that's helping to keep the fog from forming in center city and much of the rest of the area, too. in just the last few minutes and quarter mile visibility in mt. pocono and excellent visibility for northeast philadelphia had some thicker fog earlier this

morning and not now. a look at the winds. just enough to keep the thick fog from forming for lancaster, reading and allentown. that southerly motion is going to continue today and that will bring us warmer weather ahead of this. showers and thunderstorms but warm, moist air that we'll see today and again tomorrow. neighborhood by neighborhood doesn't look october-like. upper 70s for allentown, reading and quakertown. fog disappears for trenton, doylestown and mt. holly will hit 80 degrees this afternoon. very close to the 80 degree mark and middle 70s with lots of sunshine for atlantic city. pretty good breeze blowing out of the south and help boost temperatures to the very low 80s for wilmington, chester and philadelphia. we have storms on the way and the seven-day forecast with the timing when i come back. you just heard bill say that the fog is beginning to lift, especially as we get close to

the sun rise and problems out there on the roads that may or may not be associated with the fog. >> katy zachary is monitoring all of our cameras. >> you are geniuses. we are seeing the fog lift as vai said but seeing accidents into our system, unfortunately. live look 95 at cottman avenue. cottman avenue onramp to 95 north. you can see the flashing lights right here. drivers are just moving around and making their way on to the 95 north and another issue on cottman avenue, new accident on route 1 in northeast philadelphia, but from what i'm seeing, not tying anything up on route 1. just keep that in mind as we head out and look at the average speeds on our pennsylvania interstates, in the 50s, of course, except for that trouble spot, 95 southbound as you approach center city philadelphia. moving into new jersey, no accidents to report there. and average speeds on the 42 freeway and about 55 miles per hour as you make your way north to the area bridges. delaware drivers, you are not

dealing with any accidents this morning and our bridges are free and clear of issues, as well. 12 minutes past 6:00. should olympian oscar pistorius be jailed for killing his girlfriend. it is being debated in court right now and we're monitoring the minute-to-minute update. plus, more fallout for one football player following the alleged hazing scandal at a new jersey high school.

it is 6:15. happening now, court is back in session in day two of the sentencing phase for olympic runner oscar pistorius. chris cato is following this morning's developments from south africa and joins us in our live digital operation center. >> following some tweets from some reporters inside that south african courtroom and right now correction officers are testifying that they don't

believe south africa's prisons are equipped to handle someone like pistorius, a double amputee. disabilities. obviously, the defense wants him to get house arrest after he was convicted last month of culpable homicide. let's take a live look in the courtroom and you'll see the judge there, she has the sole discretion of pistorius' sentence. she could sentence him up to 15 years in prison. look at the man talking above his head, that's oscar pistorius sitting there in the courtroom waiting to learn his fate. this process could take about a week. here's video from earlier, pistorius arriving at the courthouse and yesterday a social worker testified that the former olympic athlete should be placed under house arrest. now, the prosecution had rather see him sent to prison. they say he has proven that he is dangerous and had several firearm related incidents. again, the judge could sentence him up to 15 years in prison. last week pistorius was or last month pistorius was convicted of

culpable homicide in the shooting death of his girlfriend, reeva steenkamp. hearing could take about a week. his trial began back in march. now we're in the middle of october, seven months now his fate has been hanging in the balance. again, a few more days and we should know if pistorius will go to prison and, if so, for how long. live in our digital operation center, chris cato, nbc 10 news. we have new information this morning on the alleged hazing incident at a north jersey high school. nbc sports is reporting that penn state has dropped an offer to a football player from sayorville. he had not been directly connected to the charges but seven team members face charges that include aggravated sexual assault. they have been suspended and their season has been canceled. and we are following breaking news in the midwest. a double decker tour bus has

flipped on its side. a live picture from the sxeen here and this happened just outside of indianapolis, just within the past hour. one person is listed in critical condition. we are told six to eight others have serious injuries. we will continue to follow this breaking news and bring you more information as we get it. 6:18 right now. we want to bring you information about your ride to work with some fog starting to lift in some areas. >> here's katy zachary with more on that. >> that's the good news. in many of our areas the fog is lifting and if you're headed on cottman avenue two accidents to deal with. to 95 northbound an accident on that onramp that feeds you on to 95 northbound. you can get around it and move off to the shoulder and see all the emergency lights right here. and it's just something to deal with. once you do get on 95 northbound, you're moving a lot better than 95 southbound and you can see all the headlights and volume building. in northeast philadelphia, there is an issue. they're mopping up a fire and a fire scene and jesse gary is out

at the scene. it happened on vista street and an alternate on that is frankfort avenue because crews are still advising drivers to stay away from that area. talking about the fog, earlier this morning route 22 at airport road was a lot denser fog. we saw on our cameras. fortunately, that fog is lifting in parts of lehigh valley and berks county as evident by our traffic camera here. again, the fog is lifting and hopefully that's good news for drivers as they make their way out to the roads this morning. >> and the fog is going to disappear completely as the temperatures warm and we're already starting off warmer. it's going to get breezy during the day and the flag is at rest here at nbc 10, but winds gusting to 25 miles an hour this afternoon. right now, also calm at philadelphia international. clouds overhead and 66 degrees. humidity is way up there, but not high enough for fog in the city. and we're starting to get a view of the clouds that are thinning

out quickly at the shore. little bit damp, a little bit of mist to start with overnight and low clouds in the area and those clouds are starting to recede now, push to the south and with gusty winds this afternoon, the clouds will clear out completely. but, this wet weather to our west and to the south and that will be here later tomorrow. we could see some strong storms in the area tomorrow. but ahead of it is the warm air that's pushing into the area. summer-like heat this afternoon. we were in the 60s yesterday and 80 degrees this afternoon. fog disappears, sunny, breezy, winds gusting to 25 miles an hour and a chance we'll hit 80 again tomorrow. but there will be more clouds around and the strong storms later on wednesday into wednesday night. by thursday morning, we'll see some rain in the area and then cooler thursday afternoon. friday, turns to partly sunny and just in time for the weekend, we will see plenty of sunshine and a nice, dry day for

this is probably not what sears shoppers expected to see on the retailers' website. a swastika ring for sale. nbc 10 viewer told us about the website and in the description not for nazi or neo-nazi implications but the symbol itself is hurtful and offensive to millions of people. jewish leaders in our area say it's outrageous that sears did not monitor its sellers more

closely. >> i was horrified. absolutely horrified to see a swastika ring. i don't know what anyone was thinking when they produced this or marketed it. it's so insensitive. >> sears has pulled the listing and said it was put there by one of the outside vendors that sells items on their website and in a statement to nbc 10, sears says the swastika ring violates the guidelines in place for their sellers and contacting them to voice their concern. and south jersey bureau this morning a sky diving company in new jersey has filed for bankruptcy. free fall adventure is in williamstown. the owner tells "cureier post" back in april a sky diver who was jumping died when his parachute did not open. the owner says he plans to stay open during the bankruptcy process.

and good tuesday morning, i'm katy zachary with a look at your traffic. for drivers in northeast philadelphia, an accident on cottman avenue near route 1. for 76 drivers, a live look near conshohocken. low-lying fog that is sticking around about 16, 17 minutes in both directions and also up in the lehigh valley, fog is lifting for drivers on route 22. a live look at 309. bill, as we look at cape may, looks like some damp road and they are dealing with fog in that area. >> fog free and the mist has ended and they'll be drying out in a hurry with temperatures into the 70s this afternoon at the shore. but inland, we're talking 80 degrees and that will do away with the fog. nice warm up. still some fog, thick fog and mt. pocono and quarter mile visibility there. but the rest of the area is not looking too bad. reading has two-mile visibility and two and a half miles at hazelton.

sunshine and more summer-like temperatures. good morning and welcome to nbc 10 news today. i'm vai sikahema. >> let's find out what is ahead with meteorologist bill henley. morning, bill. >> morning temperatures that brought in the moisture that has created fog in some areas but not everybody is seeing it. also a nice breeze blowing which sometimes will do away with the fog. clouds have cleared out completely in cape may after a little bit of a mist. this morning, they are done and the temperatures are responding. in fact, we're in the 60s right now in philadelphia. 60s in the pocono mountains and 60s at the shore. much warmer this morning than yesterday. still watching some areas of a light fog in berks county and reading has two-mile visibility and mt. pocono has quarter mile visibility. there you can see some of the clouds over the city right now. those clouds will thin out and look at the temperatures taking off. upper 70s by noontime and then 80 degrees at 4:00 this

afternoon. we'll go neighborhood by neighborhood to show you exactly who will reach 80 degrees later today. but, first, katy zachary has traffic. morning, katy. >> the fog was an issue and volume building on all of our majors and accidents to tell you about. starting things off with things on 95. cottman avenue, you can see an accident on cotfman avenue. once you work your way around that, look at your dive time between wood haven and not a problem 94 northbound and look at the headlights headed into center city philadelphia. a half hour between 6:76 and wood haven. northeast philadelphia, there's also an accident on cottman avenue near route 1 but doesn't seem to be tying anything up there. ben franklin bridge from our camera in camden headed into st center city. westbound traffic and you can see track work going on in the right-hand lane but it's not

affecting things despite all the volume there. up in the lehigh valley, fog is an issue throughout the morning and it is lifting as you can see from our camera at route 22 and 309. and we have new information on breaking news that we have been following throughout the morning. nbc 10 has learned that a house fire in the tacony section of philadelphia has injured two firefighters. jesse gary joins us live now from the scene with more details. jesse, what can you tell us? >> that second firefighter confirmed by the fire department suffered smoke inhalation and first suffered heat and now in stable condition and deputy chief on his way up there. let's take a look at what the scene looked like earlier this morning when we arrived. these are the flames that started here in the 4700 block of vista. fire officials say the flames started in the center unit and then spread out to adjoining units forcing several families out into the night air.

one man told me he heard screams from outside and got his family out of the house before they were trapped inside. >> yeah, i'm still a little nerve wracked, but they got it under control and these guys are wonderful out here. i saw a couple guys go away on a stretcher, i'm praying for them. i hope they're okay. >> fire department says those two firefighters are in stable condition. we've seen some residents that have been led back inside to get some of their belongings and the ones not in the property but adjoining properties and now headed to be taken care of by the red cross. we'll have an update in about 25 minutes or so. jesse gary, nbc 10 news. we learned this morning that a worker from the united nations has died. we do know he is 56 years old and from the sudan and stationed

in liberia when he got sick. the man was taken to this hospital in germany just five days ago to get treatment but he died last night. meantime a nurse who has contracted ebola in texas is in stable condition this morning. nina pham received a blood transfusion yesterday from dr. kent brantley. he had ebola but has recovered. they would not be surprised if another worker at pham's hospital becomes ill. meanwhile happening today delaware county officials will meet to take on the topic of ebola before any case should show up in our area. matt delucia is live. a plan for ebola has been in practice for some time, so what is this meeting for today? >> police officers and the county's three health systems. they will meet here at the delaware county intermediate building unit. health officials have been getting questions from a number of people, especially first responders on how to handle the ebola issue.

the goal really is to come up with a firm plan to ensure proper screenings instead of procedures set up by the cdc and pennsylvania department of health. i have been talking with the county health department here and they have been in communication with hospitals and emergency workers for the past couple of weeks about how to respond to ebola. but some in our area think not enough is being done. patty atcon believes the guidelines from the cdc do not go far enough. >> i think with this particular disease, we're talking about a lot of a need to invest a lot of resources in time and staff and equipment in order to protect everybody and i think it's left each hospital on their own to figure out how best to do that. >> back in delaware county, a news conference will follow that meeting this afternoon. you can count on nbc 10 to be there to find out what you need to know. live in morton this morning, matt delucia, nbc 10 news.

>> you can count on nbc 10 and nbc10.com for complete coverage. on our website you'll find an entire section devoted to ebola including information on how the virus is spread. a deadly shooting in north philadelphia. police say a man was shot 30 times. he was sitting with a woman when two men approached and opened fire. the woman was hit in the ankle and she will be okay. police don't know yet why the man was targeted. they are still looking for the shooters. and happening today, we could learn that a man convicted of killing a child and her grandmother will live or die. yandamuri was found guilty last week of a botched kidnapping and murder at a king of prussia apartment complex. the penalty phase resumes today with one final witness being called and then the jury bill deliberate. yandamuri said he wants the death penalty but the lawyers say their client doesn't really want to die. now to the casino crisis in atlantic city. today the owners of the taj

mahal will ask a bankruptcy judge to terminate its agreement with union workers. taj mahal filed for bankruptcy last week. threatened to close it in november if it does not get labor concessions. earlier this month the judge denied trump's request to be relieved of pension obligations. south jersey bureau could bring businesses and jobs to the city of camden. the new jersey economic development authority is set to vote today on whether to award tax breaks to lockheed martin to operate in camden. proposals involves $100 million in tax credits over ten years. the defense contractor has its local headquarters in morristown and the technology lab in cherry hill. septa regional rail riders can breathe a sigh of relief. they have reached a deal on a new contract. the retroactive five-year agreement provides an immediate $1,250 signing bonus, as well as a wage increase right away and another one in april.

the engineers have not gotten a raise in their contract since their last contract expired in 2010. the new pack still needs to be approved by the union and septa's board. a warm and somewhat damp start to the day as fog has developed in areas north and west and will not last. a big warm up is what we'll see. skies will clear and we have summer-like heat for today. yesterday we were in the 60s and closer to 80 degrees this afternoon. we're tracking storm storms to arrive tomorrow that will bring things down for the weekend. temperatures will be cooler. right now, 63 degrees in doylestown and cloudy sky there's and mostly cloudy in philadelphia while cape may has cleared out nicely. starting to see the glow of light before sunrise. we're about half an hour away from sunrise this morning and be in the 70s this afternoon. middle 70s for cape may. and still clouds over the city and view from the nbc 10 studios and not any wind just yet but that changes and the wind is really going to help warm things

up. for now, it's keeping the fog from forming in reading and lancaster and light fog in those areas and the wind will be stronger this afternoon. 2:00 this afternoon, we'll see steady winds of 16 miles an hour an hour in new jersey and close to that in philadelphia. that southerly wind and that is warm air pushing into the area ahead of the storms that will wait for tomorrow. so stand by for a big warm up today. goi don't need your umbrella but sunglasses and clear out and reading 79 and 77 in quakertown and right up to 80 in trenton and northeast philadelphia and mt. holly and nothing but sunshine for the jersey shore at cape may and 79 in dover and vineland and the 80 degree mark for wilmington, chester, philadelphia and sunshine today, but storms arrive tomorrow. the seven-day forxast for the timing of the cool down and the storms when i come back. a problem area and certainly on 95 and a lot of volume

everywhere at the 6:00 hour. >> let's get you updated with nbc 10 first alert traffic reporter katy izachary. >> the fog has started to lesson, which is good for drivers. we'll start things off in berks county. this is 78 right at route 45 and fog and damp roadways and drivers should be aware of that. but all along 78 is looking better. 309 and 22 up in the lehigh valley and look good, as well. 95 a new issue for drivers who are near front street and a disabled vehicle and penndot is on the scene and moved over to the shoulder so it doesn't seem to be tying things up. looking at average speeds on some of the trouble spots we usually see. in the 20s and then 95 south, 11 miles an hour and you're averaging around 13 miles per hour on parts of 76. typical trouble spots. so, no big surprises this morning. and then for septa's regional rail, everything is running on or close to schedule and area bridges look good, as well.

approaching indianapolis. state police say the double decker tour bus was carrying about 50 people when the driver appeared to swerve to avoid a crash that happened a few minutes earlier and the bus flipped on to its side. state police say six to eight people have serious injuries, one is critical now and 20 to 25 people have moderate or minor injuries and an obvious traffic mess there on 65 northbound because the bus is in the median and tying up traffic in both directions. the interstate was wet at the time and state police say that may have played a role in what happened there. we're following this story and continue to bring you any new information as it becomes available. live in our digital operation center, chris cato, nbc 10 news. the future of the campaign to defeat isis is the topic of a high-level meeting today at andrews air force base. president barack obama will meet with more than 20 foreign defense chiefs to talk about the war on isis in syria and iraq. the u.s. assembled a coalition of nations to contribute ground

and air forces to the fight. martin dempsey is expected to host the meeting. 6:47. police arrested more than 50 people in protests last night in ferguson, missouri, and in st. louis. hundreds marched on the ferguson police headquarters and stayed for nearly four hours. that is how long they say michael brown's body was left in the street after the unarmed teenager was shot by a police officer. yesterday was the last of four days of rallies to express anger about brown's death and last week's shooting death of a teen by a st. louis police officer. happening today, former presidential candidate mitt romney and his wife say they want to leave a lasting mark on neuro science. the hospital in boston will announce the creation of the ann romney center for neurological diseases today. the center will focus on beating five deadly neurological diseases. als, parkson's and brain tumors. romneys have helped fund the center and working to raise another $50 million.

philadelphia. we'll all be there and, again, it's free. we're not cloud free yet but it will happen during the day. the clouds are already starting to thin out and now about 20 minutes away from sunrise and getting a better view of the clouds. no sign of any rain and no fog in the city. 66 degrees and the humidity is a lot higher along with the temperature. look how nicely it's cleared out in cape may. brilliant sunshine into the 70s this afternoon. nine degrees warmer in philadelphia, but look at reading and allentown, 14 degrees warmer this morning. everybody is in the 60s. 65 in wilmington and northeast philadelphia at the airport and 63 degrees and chester county, right now westchester is 64 along with a brand-new airport and phoenixville along with chester springs, all at 64 degrees right now. so, really warm start and going to be summer-like this afternoon.

we will see the temperatures take off during the day with sunshine. you can already see the clearing that is taking place in delaware and south jersey. that clearing will continue until tomorrow when these clouds will move in with the chance of some strong storms. for today, they're in the deep south. affecting parts of tennessee and georgia. for us today, sunshine. the fog goes away. sunny and breezy conditions and look at the temperatures. upper 70s near 80 degrees. normal high temperature is 67 degrees this time of year. it's going to be another warm one tomorrow. but, less sunshine. the clouds move in and a chance of afternoon storms that will continue wednesday night and we'll start with some rain on thursday, but clearing later in the day and that will allow us to dry out on friday. bit cooler friday afternoon, 71 degrees and look at the sunshine for this weekend. for the shredder event on saturday. sunny, breezy and 71 degrees. might want to bring a paperweight along. and chillier monday. >> nine minutes before 7:00 right now. getting ready to head out the door and couple things you

four minutes before 7:00. let's get you updated on breaking news we're following for you in the tacony section of philadelphia. nbc 10 jesse gary is live on the scene of a fire that injured several and damaged homes. jesse? >> red cross officials now arrived on scene and assisting residents displaced by this fire. flames engulfed the first and second floors of this row house that sits about mid-block and all the occupants in that house and the neighboring homes were able to make it out. two firefighters suffered minor injuries, smoke inhalation and heat exhaustion.

they're over towards the hospital being evaluated said to be in stable condition. the fire marshal on scene searching for the cause. live in tacony, jesse gary, nbc 10 news. delaware health officials will hold the first meeting of the county's ebola and infectious disease task force and they will look for ways to prepare in case ebola turns up here in our area. matt delucia is live. when is this meeting? >> that is happening today at 4:00. that will be the press conference that we'll follow afterwards. but health officials are getting a number of questions from people, especially first responders on how to respond to the ebola issue. happening today, a task force of ems workers, police, firefighters and the county's three health systems will be meeting to talk about proper screenings and set up procedures that have been put in place by the cdc and the pennsylvania department of health. one thing already happening now is 911 call takers have started asking questions to screen for ebola risk before emergency workers respond. as i mention, a news conference

will follow that meeting this afternoon, you can count on nbc 10 to be there to find out what you need to know. matt delucia, nbc 10 news. good tuesday morning, i'm katy zachary with a look at your traffic this morning. the fog throughout our area is lifting but volume right now is building. live look at 95 right at girard avenue and headlights are your southbound and look at the drive time between wood haven and the vine. upwards of 40 minutes. really slow going there and northbound no problems to report other than just the typical touch of the brakes. in chester county, a new accident that just came in in the last few minutes west pikeland, route 401 near lower pine creek road. it doesn't seem to be affecting things too badly there, though. 78 and route 22. the fog is clearly lifting, some damp roadways, though. keep that in mind as you're headed out this morning. we started off with some

areas of fog. didn't see in the city, but the clouds overhead and that helped to keep things a bit warmer. those clouds are starting to break now as we inch closer to sunshine. sunrise is just ten minutes away and going to see plenty of it at the jersey shore and that's a live view from the market to lafayette hotel. we've seen fog in the pocono mountains and those clouds will be clearing and the worst of the fog continues farther to the north for mt. pocono, quarter mile visibility but the rest of the area has seen most of the fog disappear. the clouds also disappear. starting off in the 60s and we're going to be heading towards summer-like conditions this afternoon. sunshine takes over and breezy and 77 at lunchtime and then 80 degrees later this afternoon. and warm weather will continue tomorrow, but tomorrow you'll need your umbrella. but, today, storm free. >> today is storm free.
