page. >> baltimore city could be on its way to the financial breakdown. that is according to an associated press report. the report shows the city will accumulate $745 million in budget deficits over the next 10 years. the projected budget shortfall is $2 billion. the mayor said when you have budget after budget and you know there are problems, we have an obligation to do more than we have done in the past before it is too late. >> police trying to figure out what happened that led to a triple stabbing on tuesday.

sarah sampson is live with the latest on the investigation. >> it happened at the intersection of howard and fayette street. it is not clear if the people involved attended the parade. a fight broke out at 1:30 afternoon. one man was stabbed to death, two others were wounded. >> downtown baltimore is one of the safest parts of the city. we work hard at it. we make sure people feel safe. we are going to find out who did this on a day that baltimore was going to celebrate. >> one victim was in critical

condition as of last night. police say they have been planning for this parade for the past two weeks. there were a number of plainclothes officers on duty yesterday. sarah sampson, wbal-tv 11 news. >> the michael johnson murder trial continues today. he is accused of killing phylicia barnes. the jury asked to see cell phone video. there was a suggestion he was jealous about the time she spent with others. >> there was an incident yesterday at wilde lake high school. a woman agreed to cut class with deshawn jones.

the girl claims he raped her. she initially reported the incident to her mother. >> we began gathering information and that information led to the arrest at the suspect. >> this morning jones is charged as an adult. >> 5;07. >> there is a chance lance armstrong's lifetime ban could be reversed. >> this is the beltway at baltimore national pike. more

if those huge automatic spending cuts kick in and the economy slows down, we will all feel the impact. nearly everybody in washington wants to avoid that. the question is how? another day, another dollar, another fiscal fight in washington. the issue is massive spending cuts. it is called sequestration. we're not supposed to get to this point in the first place. >> it was a proposal meant to spur lawmakers into action to come up with a budget that everybody could agree on. >> cuts could still down the economy. pentagon leaders are deeply worried about the impact on the military. if congress cannot cut a big deal -- >> they should pass a smaller

package of spending cuts and tax reforms. >> he is thinking short-term. give congress time to work on a budget. >> they should have a chance to come up with a budget instead of making cuts now that was slow down the recovery. >> both sides agreed something must be done. republican leaders are digging in their heels.
